I truly wanted to love my experience, but I left feeling disappointed and let down. As a bride, I was hoping for professionalism, preparation, and care — especially from someone handling such a key part of my wedding day. Unfortunately, that wasn’t my experience.

At the trial, my makeup was amazing — I left feeling excited and confident. But on the wedding day, the experience didn’t reflect what we had previously established.

She arrived earlier than scheduled without notifying me or updating the master schedule, so I was caught off guard and completely unprepared when she showed up. I had added her on to do makeup for a few additional people, but I assumed it would still be done within the original timeframe we had discussed. She never informed me or my planner that it would require more time, which created unnecessary stress during an already packed day.

She also didn’t bring any reference photos from our trial or photos of me to recreate the look — I had to pull up reference photos myself, which felt unprofessional and unprepared. She even asked me what colors to use, which added to the feeling that she wasn’t ready. The final makeup looked nothing like the trial — the tones were off, the blending was poor, and it just wasn’t what we had discussed. I’m really unhappy with how I look in my wedding photos.

When I asked for a brief moment during glam, she said something like, “I got here at 2, now I need to finish without interruptions.” It came off cold and dismissive — not the calm, supportive energy a bride should receive on her wedding day.

I even had to fix my makeup for both events. While I do believe she is talented — as seen during my trial — the inconsistency, lack of communication, and unprofessionalism are why I cannot recommend this vendor.

It’s disappointing that there are so few glam makeup options in Colorado. I wish I had gone with someone else.
