I grew up adoring photos. My dad would set up the stand-up screen (I still have it) and put on old family slide shows. We'd sit around, eat popcorn and learn how he flew down the hill on his skateboard with his brothers. That's how I know the uncles I hardly met.

Being considered as your photographer is an honor. I love being able to spend the happiest day of people's lives with them and I love knowing I could be the person who makes it possible for a niece to see an uncle she may never meet.

Months, years even generations from now, pictures are what you have to remember the day and I want you to remember all of it.

Love, laughter, joy; emotions are what I want to capture. When I see my favorite photos from your special day I can see it in my head, years from now, a bride sitting with her granddaughter telling the story of her wedding day. About how great-grandma traded out her own daughter's ring for a tacky, dollar store wannabe for laughs. How grandpa cried harder than she did during thank you's and had to blow his nose in the fancy napkin.

To me, that's what your photos are for. To tell a story.
