We had a very small courthouse wedding and knew we wanted to get some great shots around downtown Charleston. Sara was game to jump in a golf cart with us and zip around to a few locations. She was also incredibly helpful with suggestions for poses, where to stand in the shot for best light etc.
Our photos were posted a few weeks after the ceremony and they were fantastic. We also ordered a few prints through Sara and they look beautiful. I've received a lot of compliments on our photos and how they don't look like traditional wedding photos. We look like ourselves and we are so, so happy with the results!

While I was unsure of a number of things about our wedding weekend, I knew that I wanted a photographer that would take charge, keep things playful and help my camera-shy self and fiance feel confident in front of the camera. I was THRILLED to come across Sara's work on Instagram and feel BLESSED that she was available to work with us!

Sara went out of her way to make sure I felt comfortable working with her, taking the time to drive up and meet me hours from her home to do a site walk-through. She worked with me to determine the "vibe" of the wedding photos and agreed to come up for our wedding welcome party so that we could capture a lot of group photos - leaving us with more time to enjoy the wedding itself the next day.

Sara was a PRO the day of our wedding. We experienced not only torrential rain, but hail and she never complained about having to go outside, about the very last minute change of venue and resulting limitations in her shooting space or how little time I was looking to spend in front of the camera.

Sara kept not only my groom and I - but our families and guests smiling and laughing all weekend. I have had multiple guests tell me how lovely she was, how kind she was and how comfortable she made them feel.

Sara photographed my wedding this last Spring and if I could go back and do anything differently- I wouldn’t! I discovered her by word of mouth and once I met with her, I looked no further. Some of the other photographers I had researched did good work, but it was very cliché and mainstream photographs I saw that just blended in with the next photographer’s portfolio. Sara’s work is artistic, and you can tell photography is her passion first, job second. Not only is she really approachable and easy to talk to, she also worked well with my budget concerns and provided me with the most outstanding photographs. I feel as if during my engagement (and engagement session) she took the time to figure me out, and express my husband and I so well through a lens. From the moment we received our engagement photos, I knew I had selected the best of the best. My husband and I felt quite awkward and nervous, since it was our very first photo shoot, and she made the whole afternoon feel fun and natural (which prepared us well for the plethora of photos on our wedding day). The end result made us looking like pros! Sara was also very flexible; at the last minute I decided I wanted her to photograph my rehearsal dinner. She arranged her travel and accommodations to make it there in time and captured some great memories for us! I constantly go through our online wedding album and drool over how incredible every last photo is- from the detailed shots of our venue, romantic poses with my husband, candids of family/friends, to everything in between! And lastly, working with Sara didn’t feel like a business-like encounter. Your photographer is who you spend the majority of your wedding day with, and I felt as though I was in the company of a good friend all day long. That is VERY important!!
