Ultimately Lacking Professionalism, Competence, and Common Decency
It’s one thing for a company’s management staff to promise you a position after a job interview. It’s another thing for the company ‘s assistant manager to promise you a job after your interview, all while telling you not to bother attending your other interviews you had scheduled that same week because you would be working there; only for them to actually never call you back with a work schedule leaving you with no job and several now canceled interviews.. Let them not even consider to call or email you to inform you that they have changed their minds and filled the position with someone else.
In all the job positions that I have held, this interview experience has to be the most unprofessional one I have ever experienced to date. Not only does this restaurant’s male assistant manager come off as incompetent, but he also seems to enjoy making false promises to potential employees and apparently his word and (mediocre) handshake doesn’t hold any true value nowadays. You would think at his age this would be different, but I guess not?
Oh well, I guess I should try and be thankful to God since I really dodged the bullet of having to be employed by this restaurant’s staff. Can’t imagine wanting to work with a management staff that doesn’t possess any communication skills, let alone common decency. Still, I think it’s really f****d up that I was told to cancel my remaining interviews and wait for a phone call with my work schedule only to never receive one.
Overall, my first impression (and last impression) of this restaurant has left me with no desire to ever try eating here again. The last time I was here our drinks were watery and our food greasy. Now it all makes sense.
