Having Michelle from Sampaguita Lane to run our wedding was the best decision we made for our special day! Michelle was organized, communicative, and professional. We planned a wedding during Covid times and she was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful in navigating any uncertain circumstances.

With our preferences/vision in mind, Michelle helped us find a venue, make careful decisions on vendors (florist, photographer/videographer, decor, linens/flatware, karaoke dj, makeup/hair), took the lead on wedding day stationery designs and wedding website, and much much more. Michelle was the main point of contact between us and all our vendors, looking over contracts and ensuring all details were correct. She made planning a wedding so not stressful, and helped us realize our wedding vision all while keeping our budget in mind, which we very much appreciated.

Our wedding day was so magical – pure joy from our end. Looking back on our special day and how everything went it’s clear that we could not have done this without Michelle. Thank you!!

Michelle planned and executed our 25 person wedding in Mar 2023. We planned it in 4 months (fast!), and it would not have been possible without Michelle. Michelle excels in aesthetic design, digging into preferences with clients, and tailoring a wedding to the client's vision. All of our guests told us over and over again how beautiful our wedding was. Based on our input she worked with vendors to design our flowers, our signage, our table setting, etc.. it was stunning. She also is pragmatic when it comes to budgeting and logistics, and is excellent at sourcing and managing vendors, locations, etc. We are extremely grateful for Michelle's help, and it would not have been possible without her. We highly recommend.

Michelle is AMAZING! Our wedding couldn’t have gone any better. She has been with us through it all, from planning during a pandemic to handling all the vendors when we need to postpone our original date. Her organizational and contract negotiations skills are exceptional. She had a personalized timeline drafted months before our wedding as well as a thorough budget list to keep us on track during the process. For each vendor, she always presented to us a variety of options for the styles we like and highlighted the pros and cons for our top choices with our budget limits in mind. She would try to get us the best package deal and negotiate for our best interest. I love this about her.
When we talked to our vendor, they couldn’t stop raving about how detailed oriented and helpful Michelle is in navigating all the coordination for the wedding day. We had our wedding in the hottest month of the summer but it wasn’t a problem for her. Michelle showed up with her team bright and early, ready to go. They executed the day seamlessly from prepping for our ceremony to flipping the space for reception in 100F weather within an hour. We didn’t have to worry about anything, and truly enjoyed every moment with our friends and families. Both of our families are still talking about how they love our wedding. It was dreamy and personal like how we envisioned it. She turned our Pinterest board to life, and added our personal touch to it. I love how she incorporated little design details from both of our cultures into a western style wedding. Overall, 100% would recommend Michelle to our friends and families.

As all wedding photographers know, the key to a stress-free wedding is having a strong, organized, and personable wedding planner to pull it all together. That is Michelle in a nut shell. She was THE perfect vendor to partner with on Jess + Jonny's wedding. Not only did she do an incredible job in keeping things running smoothly, she answered questions before I even asked them. THAT is how good she is. She takes care of her vendors and can handle any stressful situation with a smile. She's friendly, personable, compassionate, and so sweet! Honestly, I don't know how she does it all! Hurry and BOOK HER before her calendar fills up for next year!

Michelle from Sampaguita Lane was super great to work with! The day was seamless. The couple was overjoyed. She went out of her way to be helpful to myself and all other vendors. It is clear that Michelle puts 110% of herself into her work and her craft. And everything was beautiful!
Someday when I get married I'll hire Michelle to be MY planner!

I will add specific details about our experience once my wedding is over. I have too much to do right now to itemize everything that went wrong due to Michelle. Suffice it to say: hiring Michelle has caused cascading issues in our wedding planning that are truly unacceptable.

I wish I would have known when hiring her that serial procrastination and an unending pattern of avoidable mistakes would leave us three weeks out from our wedding without some vendors and panicking as we put out her fires. At least we are now working with a new wedding planner who is a true professional; she is putting into perspective the very poor service we received from Michelle. A wedding planner should never put a couple in the position Michelle has put us in. It makes me sick to think she does this to people, regardless of intention - we feel like our wedding was just a guinea pig for her new business. She made a mess until the last minute and then walked away without even so much as a sincere apology.

You hopefully only get one wedding in this life. Don’t let anyone ruin it for you this way.

Update: Michelle was terminated after her routine poor performance and the decision was mutual. She is now making legal threats against us and our new wedding planner, claiming rights to images she contributed nothing toward, and is standing in the way of our vendors getting credit in publications for their amazing work. Her behavior is immature and shocking. No couple should come back from their honeymoon to an inbox full of legal threats from a wedding planner who already caused so much undue stress before the wedding. Her presence has scarred our wedding memories and we still suffer greatly due to her behavior. Learn from our mistakes and look elsewhere for your wedding planner needs.
