Hi, I’m Ruthie! I love love and I love weddings! I handle each of my couple's photos and experience with the most delicate care possible because I know the weight that comes with having only 1 biggest day of your life. I will hold your hand and walk with you through all of the planning, the posing, the details, the craziness--everything. I will be an open book of all the wisdom I have gained over the last 7 years of shooting weddings. I will pour myself into documenting your day through your unique love to get those once-in-a-lifetime photographs.

Photos are physical reminders of the link we have with the people we love. They are the gateway to years past. They are a welcomed reminder of how much we actually love someone even when we feel like we don’t. They are the proof that we loved hard and were loved hard during our time here. Your photos deserve to be taken by someone with as much care as possible for one human to hold. After years of creating art with my couples, I have mastered the balance of honest, uninterrupted documentation of your day and directing you to get killer shots of you two and your loved ones. You want your photos to feel like an honest documentation of your biggest day without it feeling like a fake, stiff, all-day photoshoot. You want your day focused on your guests, and celebrating love, and having fun...but you also want to look back at your photos and have gorgeous shots of you both and your friends + family. I consider my approach a marriage between documentary and editorial styles. I love capturing people and their small + big moments as they truly are without much interruption from myself, and I also love giving my couples and their loved ones those beautiful shots that they feel so gorgeous in. So I delicately balance those two values throughout your day to end up with beautiful photos that feel like you two.

I truly love my couples and get to know them on a very personal level! My goal is to be open with you so you can get to know me, and the hope is you do the same in return. When my couples allow me to really get to know them, we co-create a natural and comfortable experience that allows for beautiful photographs to be made. The kind of photographs passed on for generations. Everyone deserves to have those kinds of photographs, and it's my passion to give that gift to the couples who work with me.

I am based in Idaho Falls, Idaho, but I shoot weddings in Boise, Sun Valley, Stanley, Jackson Hole, Utah, and all over the country! My couples spend an average of $3,499 with me.
