As you embark on the journey of planning your wedding day, please keep this beautiful state park in mind. It is truly hard to find a place that compares when it came to the all-inclusive price, beauty, and convenience of what Rough River offers. For most couples, the planning starts almost immediately after their engagement. Picking your rehearsal dinner, ceremony, guest lodging, and reception locations can be some of the most difficult choices you will face. That is where we come in to help! Let us take some weight off your shoulders, and become your “one stop wedding shop”!

As your wedding date approaches here at Rough River Dam State Resort Park, you will feel comfortable knowing that your ceremony, rehearsal, and rehearsal dinner will be within steps of each other. Dine with us as you visit with your excited guests after you work out the ceremony details during rehearsal. Your wedding guests will be thrilled that they are only a short walking distance from their lodging accommodations to all of your special day activities! They will also love their “mini-vacation” at one of Kentucky’s favorite State Parks.

After dinner, you can walk back over to put your special touch on the decorations (if you have reserved the room for the night before), or you can stroll over to your lake view lodge room and get your “beauty rest” for the big day. (Cottages are also available for bigger bridal parties or families.) Once your “beauty sleep” makes way for your wedding day, open your curtains in your lodge room and take in the breathtaking views of the lake.

If you wake up ready for a refreshing breakfast you can join us at our Grayson’s Landing Restaurant. The restaurant is at your service whether you want to dine-in or order to go. As the bridal party gets ready for the ceremony, we will be happy to bring finger foods and beverages to your accommodations to keep your tummy full and happy.

Rough River Dam State Resort Park provides multiple picturesque lakeside or hillside wedding ceremony locations. When it is time to look into each others eyes and say your forever vows, you will know that you have picked the right spot for this unforgettable day! As the lake ripples, a slight breeze hits your face, and the view lifts your spirits even higher… you and your guests will get swept up in your moment!

After you are officially husband and wife (HOORAY!), you and your guests will take a short scenic stroll to your reception location in the Falls of Rough Convention Center, Terrace Room, or outdoor reception spot. There, your guests will be welcomed to take their seats in your beautifully decorated reception room as our staff caters to their dining needs. Our chef and serving staff (included) in your catering option will assure that your guests will be satisfied and comfortable.

The only thing left for you to do is en-joy your “once in a lifetime night” and dance the night away as the DJ/Band (of your choosing) honors you as the new MR. & MRS!
