Alison was a dream to work with--collaborative, creative, calm, and communicative. She took the extra time to really listen, helping us shape the look and feel of our wedding. Alison always centered our vision throughout the process and was an integral part of our conversations and decisions with the other vendors and parties involved. Always bringing a keen sense of her expertise and accommodating others as necessary. Coming up to the day, she displayed her signature flexibility and creativity, going above and beyond to find the right statement pieces for our ceremony backdrop after we collectively pivoted from the original plan. The result was “breathtaking” (an actual comment from more than one of our wedding guests).

Our wedding was all sorts of woodland wonderful, in no small part because of Alison. Her designs are both current and timeless. Truly original in the best way. Every detail was thoughtful and perfectly executed. We cannot recommend her more highly and look forward to working again with her in the future.

If you are looking for the most unique and beautiful arrangements Roots of Joy is your place. Allison's attention to detail is amazing. She takes the time to really understand what type of event you are planning and carefully curates to give you exactly what you want. The arrangements are stunning. Flowing and different, using locally sourced flowers (some out of her own garden) unlike any other florist I've ever used.

The flowers for my wedding were everything I had dreamed they would be! I was able to show Allison photos of different arrangements that I liked and she was able to put them together in the perfect way! I received so many compliments on my bouquet as well all the other arrangements for the wedding!

We receive twice monthly arrangements from Roots of Joy and are always so delighted by how stunning and creative these are. The compositions range is amazing. Some weeks we receive an arrangement with clean, crisp lines and a gorgeous unexpected edge, and other weeks the aesthetic is soft, classic and romantic - evocative of a different era. The flowers we receive are always fresh, always gorgeous, and the service is always timely and professional. A great value for the joy!

I have hired Alison for a few events and have been thrilled by her arrangements. I love her sense of color, and her unusual mix of flora and fauna.
