We were terribly disappointed with the service by River Pointe Golf Club. The place was beautiful, it was always my dream to have a golf course reception. The owner worked with us to make all the arrangements. Our first appt was to cover the date and initial details, he informed us that 140 was the max, reality 115 should have been max. Our guest were so tightly packed into the space it wasn't comfortable for anyone. River Pointe took care of tables, chairs, linens, flowers, and catering. We specifically told them to serve at a certain time regardless if the bride and groom had arrived, we did not want our guest to wait on us. Our wishes were no honored at all, we walked in very surprised to see no one had been served. The flowers were not anything that I had requested. On 4 different occasion I had to send the same pictures to the venue, they continued to lose them and then complained about the cost of the flowers, we only picked flowers that were in our price range. The flowers for the reception had not been stored or prepared properly, the centerpiece flowers were wilted and brown. My husband had a special request of green bean bundles wrapped in bacon. This wish too was not honored. Presentation was terrible, we were embarrassed. We tried several times to meet with the venue in advance and was abruptly told that they did not meet any early than one week before the wedding, the owner did no want to deal with our wedding til then. The closer the wedding got, my parents dealt with the reception venue. The owner haggled them with every detail that week. We had to pay for chair covers because the chairs were so nasty they had to be covered. This vendor was the biggest headache ever to deal with. It's my understanding they are under new management. Use with caution.
