Refinery Hill is a nearly 19-acre property nestled in the outskirts of the historic town of McDonough, GA. Our venue is known for its gorgeous woodland and field views, vineyards, farm fresh produce, myriad of unique event spaces, full-service catering and stress-free event planning. We are 30 minutes from the Atlanta airport and under an hour from Conyers, Covington, Douglasville, Fayetteville, Macon, Madison, Marietta, Peachtree City, Newnan, Senoia, Roswell and countless other cities around the Atlanta metro areas.

Amazing service!

We never expected the level of service Refinery Hill provided was by far way more than we expected! They aren't just a venue with a catering service, they are the total package! From the time we got there to decorate, to helping line up the bridal party or get the father daughter ready or the bride and groom to make their grand entrance these people were all over it. They served the bride and groom, their families and were at our side the entire time!!
Refinery Hill, you are all wonderful people and have set the bar so high!! Thank you to "Team Dawn"!

A+++ Wedding Venue and Catering!

Aaron and Sheena were perfect for our rehearsal dinner. The venue was gorgeous and the food was delicious. My friends and family could not stop talking about the food. Aaron was very accommodating and helpful throughout the entire process. We would've have booked them as our wedding reception caterer had we not already booked someone else. They had the venue decorated very well and Aaron provided us with speakers and heaters during the winter. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

We did not have a wedding at The Alexander House, but had a client appreciation party and it was amazing! Everything from booking it to the food was fabulous! Our clients still talk about how perfect it was!

We have used The Alexander House along side The Grand Gourmet on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed! The owners and staff are professional yet friendly with a can do attitude. If you can think of it they can make it happen. The food is amazing and I love the attention to detail that they give to everything. If you choose the The Alexander House and/or The Grand Gourmet, rest easy, you made the right choice!

By far, the best decision we made planning our wedding was choosing the Alexander House as our venue. Aaron and Sheena thought of every detail and made my day the most magical, stress free event. Not to mention it was utterly BEAUTIFUL. I MEAN DROP DEAD GORGEOUS. The food was amazing and their prices were so much less than most of the other places we priced. This venue, but mostly the people, were invaluable. It was perfect!!

If you want to have an event be it corporate, wedding, house party, fundraiser, etc....you tell them what your dream is, they make it reality. I have had several events with them and never once had to ask twice for anything nor worried for quality of food, service, display, clean up, set up....I could go on and on and on. If you want the most PERFECT event of any nature, you won't be disappointed, only disappointed if you don't go with them! And the TEAM is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Magical... That is how many of my guests described our reception. Anybody can provide a "fancy" venue/food/service, but if magic is what you seek, I highly recommend The Alexander House/ The Grand Gourmet for any event. I could not have asked for a better setting, service, coordination, food, quality, professionalism... the list goes on. I would describe myself as a down-to-earth/easy going/ go-with-the-flow type of person, so as a bride, I kept my ridiculously high bridezilla expectations in the back of my head. The Alexander House/The Grand Gourmet not only met my expectations, the EXCEEDED them, included the ones I never expressed. I could not have made a better choice!

A great place to hold intimate weddings. I love everything about this house. It's old and vintage, two things that go hand in hand. The staff provided awesome service on my wedding day! Oh! and by the way, the food was out of this world. We LOVE the Teriyaki Salmon, Vidalia Glazed Chicken, and Cajun Shrimp and Grits Shooters! Definitely my new way favorite way to eat shrimp!

Aaron & Sheena went above and beyond our expectations. To this day we wish we could get married all over again just to re-live our experience with them. They are very personal with their clients, and will do all that they can to meet your expectations. This dynamic duo along with their staff made our day very memorable, and here we are 2 years later still getting compliments on our special day. And might I add...the food was SUPERB!!
