The items supplied by Rainbow Party Rentals were as described and what we needed. They were delivered on time the day before our event and there were no issues on the day. Unfortunately the lack of consideration and good customer service shown on the day before and after our wedding has led to the two-star mark down. We didn't receive our invoice until it was sent via email a half hour before our rehearsal which we did not see until arrival at the venue, and the owner then attempted to obtain payment in cash during our rehearsal (even asking us to leave to get to the bank before it closed, though we were surrounded by family and friends and it was the night before New Year's Eve). Understanding that it was only fair to provide swift payment, we offered to make a bank transfer that evening as we live overseas and a cheque would take longer. Even though we provided confirmation that the payment had been submitted, the owner phoned my mother repeatedly from 8am the morning after the wedding (which happened to be a Sunday and New Year's Day) to the point where his number had to be blocked. For quality and price, Rainbow Party Rentals provides a good service. Unfortunately their lack of good customer service lets them down.

Awful experience. Throughout the entire planning experience Rainbow Party Rental made zero effort to even try to understand the party we were throwing. Communication was absolutely horrible -- had I not followed up with them multiple times the end result would have been an even bigger disaster than it was. Set up was extremely sloppy -- ruined trees in the backyard, used yellow wires and didn't have enough extension cords to even prove that the lights worked. The dance floor was damaged and the pieces weren't flush with each other, ripe for causing someone to trip (not to mention the men who set up placed the worst piece right where everyone would be walking in, zero sense). The owner then decided to charge me a fee -- without saying anything to me on the phone -- for canceling an additional tent that we had previously agreed would be subject to rain, which was not going to happen. Our coordinator had to hire his friends who own a tent company to come in and fix everything the day after they set up, which took HOURS, and they charged us nothing and took the hit from the charge that Rainbow Party Rentals decided to charge us randomly. Also, we purchased pole covers for a couple hundred dollars, which these guy just left in bags on a table because "they dont install them, just provide them", which is ridiculous and was never disclosed. Again, my coordinator came to the rescue (Moriches Catering, for those interested). Just not a good feeling working with these guys AT ALL, the ENTIRE TIME. If you are hosting a legitimate event, not the place to rent from. Note to ownership - if someone recommends you and puts their reputation on the line, have enough respect for them to do a good job. Long Island isn't a big place.
