I was SO afraid of having a pandemic wedding, but I knew we couldn't afford to not have photos of our wedding! Matt was a very safe person to work with. We are really satisfied with how safe it was. Matt was really professional and I felt really comfortable leaving the photography to him. As a designer, I'm REALLY specific about what I want in my wedding photography, and Matt was really willing to listen and do the extra work to make everything exactly the way we wanted. Our wedding photos honestly have been amazing!! We've since lost our rings (a mishap with the garbage disposal) but still enjoy the photos just as much as we did on our Special Day!

Matt was such a great photographer to work with. If you are worried at all about fake posed photos you don't have to be. He made us both feel really comfortable getting our pictures taken.

He also managed to get photos of every important moment without ever being in the way. The photos themselves were absolutely beautiful and captured our wedding perfectly.

No one wants generic engagement/wedding photos of their special day. Also, guess what else? No one wants to look at generic engagement/wedding photos.

Matt is a great listener, and really goes out of his way to understand what makes your relationship special and what you collectively value most. Then, that drives the decisions about the photo shoot itself. Although things like objective quality (which Matt also does well) are important, this is everything. What will make your photos special to you and your loved ones is that your personalities really come through.

Along the same lines, Matt is super friendly and caring - making working with him an absolute pleasure and delight. If you have any concerns about being vulnerable in an intimate shoot - well, you can forget about those concerns. Matt is great at putting you at ease and keeping the vibes light and fun.

Keep in mind that the only things that you have after the wedding to remind you of all the magical moments are the ring, and your photos. Resist the urge to cheap out - you don't want that regret (and we are VERY frugal). At the same time, I can't name anything that would've warranted paying more.

In the summer of 2019 we found Matt through a friend's recommendation and from his portfolio alone we hired him for our wedding and engagement shoot- before we had even gotten engaged!

Matt truly goes above and beyond at every step of the way. When we sat down for our consult his first question wasn't the date of the event or our price range, it was who we were and what was important to us. He cared who we were as people and wanted to use all of that information to give us the best pictures possible.

On top of being willing to start our engagement shoot in Alexandria on a freezing October morning, Matt was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and had an eye for selecting the best spots for the best shots! When our engagement pictures came back they weren't just beautiful, they were fast. We received a 92 edited picture gallery where we owned all of the pictures in one week.

Unfortunately, we were a COVID wedding which came with a large set of challenges, particularly that we wanted to capture our wedding day, but also our big party to celebrate in 2021. Matt was understanding and on top of it. We were able to do an elopement package this year and the big thing next year for a great price.

The weeks leading up to the wedding Matt was regularly checking in which we loved. He showed up early and hit the ground running.

He captured our day in a way that I didn't think was possible. He found beautiful shots that made us feel like we were in a fancy venue instead of a parent's backyard. Every single shot was stunning. Matt never made us feel rushed and joyfully stayed as late as we did. While being the picture of professionalism, Matt was friendly and playing, helping us feel relaxed instead of stiff.

2 and a half weeks later we got back our gallery, this time over 300 stunningly edited pictures. As we looked through them on the easy to use web gallery we were blown away with every click. On top of this we were emailed a zip file with all of our pictures- no watermark!

Prismatic Photography was such a fantastic company to work with. Matt is super professional, easy to talk to and really worked to help relieve wedding stress in all stages of our planning and during our event! We worked with Prismatic for both our engagement and wedding photos. There was a large gap of time in between the two shoots, but I never felt like we lost track of Matt. Matt was responsive and extremely helpful leading up to our big day. The day of, he showed up early and looking very professional. Matt spent time with us in the morning in the house we had rented and was such a great presence, snapping photos of us and our friends that seemed very natural and really captured the joyful feeling of our day. Matt and his coworker were with us all day and never stopped taking photos or seemed stressed. Matt was also great at organizing our large families into cohesive units for photos. When we received our finished photos, I was absolutely blown away- Matt and team did such a great job of capturing the love and energy of our big day. Working with Prismatic also enabled us to have an online gallery that we could share with friends and loved ones. Matt captured details that I never thought to ask for, such as tender family moments and stunning portraits. I have never felt more beautiful or 'seen' as I have in our wedding photos. Not only did everything look amazing, but Prismatic delivered such a high quality for what was really an affordable price. Prismatic Photography did an absolutely amazing job with my engagement and wedding photos. Matt is so thoughtful and he made us feel comfortable with being ourselves in front of the camera while still giving us just enough direction to ensure a great shot! Having him do the engagement photos, which were included in our purchase, was such a great way to get comfortable being in front of the camera and with Matt, before the wedding. We got married at The Baltimore Museum of Art and Matt and his team did such an excellent job of capturing the beauty of the venue, while still keeping the focus on us. They were very professional and kept us engaged and laughing. He had excellent communication throughout the planning stages and made himself available all day the day of my wedding to capture getting ready photos and first looks as well as the entire ceremony and reception.It was so hard to pick my favorite photos to share on social media with friends and family because I loved them ALL! (which resulted in a very large amount being shared haha.) Matt is such a pleasure to work with, and I was so lucky to have known him before this as a very talented artist.
