Wonderful experience at the Station.
Both Tom and Sheila were great to work with. Every thing was set up perfect and the food was hot delicious and served very nicely.
Would not hesitate to return to the Station again.

Premier Catering provided the food for our Wedding. There were a variety of menu options to choose from. The food is all very good. Premier comes to your reception site, sets everything up and takes everything down. They even provide the disposable plates and silverware for free or you can pay extra for real china.

Very costly but good food! We spent 12,000 on 400 people. This didn't include alcohol, we did a cash bar.

I came into Premier with high expectations. I was satisfied with the end product, but not without some headaches through the planning process and wishing it could have had a better value product for the money we paid.
I basically had no choice in catering because they came with The Lincoln Station - our first choice in reception venue. The Station is beautiful and a wonderful venue for a wedding reception. In order to save money, we wanted to play music through our iPod and have a friend be the Emcee. Many people are doing this these days. Sheila at Premier assured us this would be possible. A couple months before the wedding when I called with more detailed questions about logistics of sound equipment, Sheila sounded clueless and told us there was no sound system equipment avaiable in the Lincoln Station and we'd have to rent our own in order to pipe music from our iPod. We were not prepared for the cost of renting a sound system or capable of running it ourselves so we had no other choice then to hire a DJ last minute. This was several hundred dollars we were not planning on.
Also, the food in general was really salty and over processed. Luckily Premier has menu tastings so you know what you're getting. I chose the pork and fish because it was the most fresh and tasty...but being in Nebraska, I expected an excellent beef selection and it was just plain salty. That was a little disappointing. However, the pork and fish were great on the night of and the salad selections were yummy.
It also stinks that you have to pay EXTRA for real dishes. I mean, come on. It's a wedding, not a picnic - everyone in my family thought it was kind of crazy that you had to pay extra to eat on real plates with real silverware.
Overall, the catering turned out fine and the venue was awesome. Their catering staff for the wedding was also wonderful.

I agree with a pervious review completely. Lincoln Station is a gorgeous space, which is why we booked it. You have to use Premier Catering, which is fairly pricy considering all the things you end up paying for: food per person, any hosted kegs/beverages, $1.50/place setting on top of the food if you want real dishes (it says linens are included but that ONLY includes napkins and table cloths for the cake & guest book tables), each bartender they need ($25/hr per bartender), $5/table for tablecloths, $75 to have someone cut the cake. I felt like they charge you every oppotunity they got, on top of the price of renting the venue. They told us there weren't events booked the night before and we could drop off centerpieces or whatever, but then told us it's a $50 charge because they have to send someone from their office to unlock the space. For what we paid, I think charging us extra to go drop things off during their office hours shouldn't require me to pay anything. And, on top of it all, we had to do our menu tasting at 2pm on a Tuesday - meaning we had to take time off work because that's the only times they do it, once a month. Also, our tasting ended awkwardly. They gave us food, checked once to see how things were tasting, then went to the back and never came back out to ask our selections. We eventually just got up and left and emailed our choices, but it was VERY strange. The event itself went well and the staff there did an excellent job executing, but the planning and charges were ridiculous.

Be prepared to have your work cut out for you. I've received slow responses that do not answer my question. They are not flexible with ideas whatsoever. The tastings for the food choices are at the most inconvenient time.... First Tuesday of the month at 2 in the afternoon. (This won't work for anyone who has a regular job or is in school yet.) So far, this has not been a pleasant experience. I hope things shape up before our big day.
