I am from Florence, SC, and was traveling from Manhattan where I now live to have my wedding in Charleston. I really wanted a local venue that had a family restaurant feel but was also big enough to host 40-45 people. And the food had to be AMAZING, obviously. There's no better place to do that than at Poogan's Porch! It's steeped in history, the food is spectacular and very southern, and the location is convenient for people staying downtown to get to. We booked the downstairs dining room, which also gives you the small outdoors area to use. We absolutely enjoyed our event and we HIGHLY recommend this venue for either a rehearsal dinner or a small wedding reception. The service was outstanding and the entire team pays tremendous attention to detail. You will be well taken care of by working with them!
