Platinum photography did an amazing job for my wedding. Terry (the owner and main photographer) made everyone feel comfortable, was very professional and fun to work with. Most importantly though, my pictures were amazing!!! For the quality of work, their value is incredible!! We got a free engagement session, and a DVD with over a 1000 beautifully edited photos. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

We hired Platinum Photography and had Terry, the owner. She is AMAZING! She was very flexible, listened to what we wanted and has an amazing photojournalistic style. I found her through my photography professor. As an aspiring photographer myself, I truly appreciate her hard work, quality and eye for detail. Got the engagement session free and those photos were amazing too. Terry's a great person as well as a great photographer. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Our Photographer Terry was so much fun to work with. My husband does not love to get his picture taken, but she was able to make him relax, act natural, and really enjoy the whole experience. Terry was laid back, but professional as well. She had alot of great ideas, was organized, reliable, and most importantly created a wonderful product. Our pictures were amazingly beautiful! She really listened to what I wanted and created unique personal reminders of our very special day. In addition, her prices were very reasonable. When I saw the quality of her work in person, I was very surprised to to discover she fell within my very modest budget. I went with her most basic package, which included a second photographer and free engagement session. I could not recommend her more.

The owner, Terry, is very nice and professional. I would highly recommend her to anybody. In order to get a discount, we hired her assistant photographer, Martha, to take our photographs. In their packages, you receive two photographers for the big day, plus, they will travel to any location for your engagement photo session (which is free!). We chose to go to Stan Hywet and the pictures turned out beautifully! Both Martha and Terry have an unique eye for beautiful pictures. I would highly recommend them!

Terry was awesome! She came out to Pittsburgh, where we live to do our engagement photos. The photos are gorgeous, but it did take some time to get back (about 10 weeks from the wedding date). They were so great though that it was worth the wait!

Terry is the owner but we had Martha do our photos. It's a very small company. I would highly recommend, if you use them, that you get Terry to do the photos rather than an associate. We were happy with our photos but they missed some, even with our list made ahead of time. There were also some little things that were ignored and made a big difference - someone's arm is in the photo in a family group shot and it was pretty obvious that it could have been avoided. They do photojournalistic photos, which was the main thing we wanted, so they aren't all posed shots (which I'm not overly fond of other than for the formal bridal party/family pictures). I think they were more reasonably priced than many other photojournalistic photographers. They have lots and lots of samples on their website. I can’t say enough about Terry. She was amazing from start to finish. From our very first meeting she just put us at ease…I just felt comfortable with her, never felt bad asking a stupid question, and knew that she just wanted to take amazing pictures for us. She had a bunch of great ideas, and even uploaded pics between the ceremony and reception so that she could have a slide show playing on her laptop during cocktail hour. We should have everything within the next couple days, I can’t wait!!

Do not trust Terry with the most important day of your life! Senior photos, boudoir sessions, ok maybe. But this photographer is not able to perform a full wedding in the condition she is in. The quality is the worst I have ever seen, you will have better luck taking picture with your iPhone!

Hiring Platinum Photography (Terry & Maura) for my wedding was one of the biggest regrets of my entire planning process. What was supposed to be a joyful, once-in-a-lifetime moment was clouded by disappointment, unprofessionalism, and broken promises. The edits we received were overexposed, unnatural, and completely lacking the care and polish you’d expect from a professional wedding photographer. Instead of a professional resolution, I was offered a partial refund — but only if I forfeited what I had already paid for and agreed to remove my honest reviews.

To make matters worse, after I shared my experience publicly, a wave of suspicious 5-star reviews suddenly appeared on her Google profile. Some came from individuals with no apparent wedding connection, and at least one is a business owner the photographer has promoted on her own page; suggesting a clear conflict of interest. This tactic feels like an attempt to bury real feedback from paying clients like myself.

If you are considering Platinum Photography for your wedding, I urge you to ask:
• What happens if you are unhappy with the final edits?
• Will they honor the contract deliverables?

I truly hate having to leave a negative review, especially when it involves such a personal and meaningful day: our wedding. But I feel it’s important to share our experience so other couples can go into their planning process informed.

We hired Platinum Photography with the expectation and contractual agreement — that we would receive retouched digital images, a custom wooden USB, and a physical 8x10 album. Unfortunately, the process from start to finish was filled with delays, broken promises, and poor communication. What followed was a frustrating string of extended deadlines, vague updates, and inconsistent messaging. The USB was only ordered months after the wedding — after we followed up repeatedly — and the album was denied, then later reluctantly agreed to after I pushed back and quoted the actual contract. The editing was also incomplete, with clear inconsistencies in the photos we received, and promises made about corrections (such as under-eye editing) were not fulfilled until pointed out directly.

At one point, I was even offered a partial refund on the condition that I remove my review and forfeit the remaining items — an incredibly unprofessional request. I was also wrongly accused of breaching the contract for making light personal edits to a few photos, despite the contract allowing for personal use (albums, scrapbooks, gifts, etc.).

It’s not that the photographer was rude or mean — they were always polite. But it felt like a constant bait-and-switch, with excuse after excuse and very little accountability. As a busy mom of two, I simply didn’t have the time or energy to chase down what should have been handled with care and professionalism.

After months of back and forth, the album and USB are finally in progress, but I would never recommend this experience to another bride. Your wedding memories deserve more than constant follow-up, shifting stories, and delayed promises. Do your research, get everything in writing, and don’t be afraid to advocate for yourself.
