About

I love people. I love shooting people... wait, that doesn't sound right. I really do love people, I want to capture your intimate moments, genuine smiles and your weird love in this amazing location. Ok, so we know I love people. I loooooove Grand Canyon, too. The Grand Canyon has been home since the summer of '09, before that I worked in a portrait studio for 8 years. That was a little stuffy, and forced but lets take away the silly props and the backdrop... I have the posing down, I have the subjects and now we can have fun! I can truly elicit genuine smiles and laughter in my portraits, that's because I love people :) Let's take away the lighting and put these poses on the rim of Grand Canyon, now we have something amazing. Anyone can shoot in a studio. Now, I want to take what I know, forget about annoying lighting equipment and capture your unique day in natural light on the edge of one of the most impressive landscapes in the world.. #nofilter #GrandCanyon #weddingphotography

We could not have had a better experience than what we had with Terri for our National Park elopement photographer.

We chose Terri because her photos were processed just right - just so beautiful. I also admired the values and “leave no trace” sensibility, as well as the warmth coming through her work and her words.

With Terri, everything is bespoke. She spent time getting to know Roy and me as a couple, and connected us to other professionals who would help to give us ideas for making our winter elopement unlike any other we have ever seen, with ideas we would have never conceived. That’s what artists do. She used her community to bring so much more creative energy to the table.

And she is a consummate professional. For our Grand Canyon sunrise portraits, we were running a little bit late, racing the sun. She was undaunted. She knows the canyon like a mother knows her child, so on the fly she pivoted and took us to a different location so we would still have the best illumination. Her technical skill as a specifically Grand Canyon elopement photographer is unsurpassed; she understands how to use light, how to position us, and how to maximize the time before the brief window of perfect luminescence closed.

With Terri, you get so much more than a photographer. She and her assistant (and our florist) SarahKay showed up excited and invested, with enthusiasm that belied their experience. I admired their supportive positivity and her clarity of communication through the process of herding distracted bodies into place. She spontaneously began to tell us about the canyon, giving us a truly immersive experience with this beautiful and sacred setting. Having purchased all-day elopement coverage, she was even available to spend time with our group to educate us about the canyon. We got so much more than we realized when we chose her to be our photographer.

You cannot go wrong with Terri for your Arizona elopement. Teacher. Guide. Technician. Coordinator. Artist.

Thank you Terri, for making our snowy elopement celebration one unlike anything we have seen or imagined. Thank you for sharing your vision, and your heart.
