We were wonderfully surprised when we found out Petros Benekos was remodeling and taking over the restaurant at the Fess Parker Inn. Being that we had ate at Petros ManhattanBeach and loved the food we were very excited.

When it was time for us to do our tasting we were greatly surprised as well. They served us full portions of everything we wanted to try as well as wine parings. Everything was so good we decided to have our rehearsal dinner at Petros as well.

Knowing that the salad we choose was amazing we decided to serve it both nights as a sneak preview on Friday to those attending. We also served a few different flatbread pizzas which I crave all the time now. One was a vegan option loaded with delicious veggies, another was the Kafteri Chichken Pizza and then, my favorite, the Lamb Pizza.

For our reception we decided on several appetizers including spanakopita & grilled pita with various dips. We choose a peach arugula salad that is drizzeled in Greek honey. It is remarkable! And for our entree selections we served the following options: filet mignon served with asparagus, mashed potatoes and a Roquefort sauce, pan seared halibut served with fresh vegetables and Greek rice pilaf and our final option was a vegetable pasta with zucchini, red and yellow peppers, broccolini, asparagus, and horta served with a tomato, olive oil and herb sauce. Each of the dishes were OUTSTANDING. Petros used the freshest ingredients. All of our friends and family members commented on how it was the best wedding they had been to & the food was SUPERB. We highly recommend all of the food.

To be quite honest with you our experience with Petros was delightful and they helped make our wedding very memorable.

We had our wedding in the garden behind the Fess Parker Wine Country Inn (Petros is located inside the Inn). My husband and I thought that everything was absolutely perfect! We already loved Petros as a restaurant, but found that Petros is also the perfect place for a great event. After a lot of research in the area - we had thought about getting married at the Fess Parker Winery - we found that the Inn catered by Petros was an absolute steal! The food comes straight from the kitchen and when the night was over all everyone had to do was head upstairs. We absolutely loved everything about the weekend, and much of it is thanks to Petros! I don't have a single complaint! I received many complements on the food and our guests told us that "the wine flowed like water." The Fess Parker Wine Country Inn is affiliated with the winery and they let me take all the group pics out at the winery! That's everything I could have hoped for for my wine country wedding :)

Our wedding was the first time Petros Los Olivos worked with Firestone Winery. They do the catering for Fess Parker Winery since the restaurant is located on the premisis of Fess Parker Inn.

The food was great! They are highly flexible in their willingness to accomodate a menu. The Five Layer Chocolate Cake from the restaurant menu was made into our wedding cake. This was also a first for Petros. I congratulate them on their willingness to be accomodative and try to establish a relationship with vendor who have long been in the area. However, don't be surprised to get a bill for an additional amount than what you signed a contract for! Although all my calls were returned (if not promptly - they were returned - unless it was to inform me they were seeking payment for an additional labor of cleaning dishes) I did get complaints about lack of follow-through from other vendors.

Furthermore, the additional charge for "washing dishes" was money down the drain since they returned dishes with cake and food "caked" on.

Although the food was delicious, I don't know if I'd use them again. I think there are other caterers in the area that offer just as delicious food with more professionalism. Thinking back, I would probably have gone with Jean-Philippe from "At Your Service" catering.

My recommendation is go to the restuarant, perhaps enjoy an appetizer or two, definitely have the Five Layer Chocolate Cake, and save your self a headache of having to pay more after your event. You don't want to be the bride who is informed during your wedding day that there will be additional charges.
