About

The Historic Georgian-Style Home of Cincinnati Developer and Arts Patron John J. Emery and His Wife Irene was designed by the architect William Adams Delano of Delano & Aldrich, the leading country-house architectural firm in the United States. The house is a combination of Georgian and Queen Anne styles and when finished had 36 rooms, 19 fireplaces, 21 baths, and included a wing of guest rooms. Originally sited on 1,200 wooded acres in Indian Hill, the house was built in 1928 to rival the grandest houses of America and Europe.

Peterloon offers your event or meeting a unique combination of indoor and outdoor spaces.

Most functions take place in the home’s historic living, dining and library rooms.

CHARMING - a must book!

ABSOLUTELY CHARMING! Peterloon made all of my wedding dreams come true. My first attraction to this venue was the fact that you could have every wedding event in one spot - ceremony, cocktails, and dinner. Upon visiting Peterloon we were in love -- the charm is unmatched. We had our ceremony in the sunken garden, cocktails inside/outside, and a tented reception. The following really made the day spectacular:

- Jamie and the Peterloon staff went above and beyond to meet any needs we could have.
- After a rainy week the grass drained really well and pavers were perfect for the reception.
- The air conditioned bridal suite
- Ability to use baby grand piano
- Fans in house
- NO CICADAS SOMEHOW!
- Working with Samantha Joy Events - she knows everything there is to know about Peterloon!

Despite being a 90 degree day, guests were mostly in the shade for the ceremony and could cool off in the house all night long. If you have any hesitations - I truly think a rainy wedding at Peterloon would still beat a good weather day at any other venue! Thank you for everything, Peterloon staff!

This estate is so gorgeous, it could be a movie set for a wedding sceen. It is expensive, the rental is $6,500 but that includes 15 tables and 150 chairs which helps with rental costs. All alcohol has to be bought through them; the prices are not bad. The director does nothing but over see the whole production, he does not coordinate the ceremony procession, rental items, etc. He was helpful however with meeting us there as many times as we wanted to plan, and he did help set up the tables and chairs, which is a big job. The day of, he insisted on locking the room where my stuff was, which made things more difficult when I needed a hairpin, etc. He made several of my guests feel very unwelcomed. I guess they (Peterloon Foundation) don't really like having weddings there. I always wanted my wedding there, and I'm so grateful it was there, but I wanted to warn other brides that it is run in a somewhat rigid way that was not all warm and fuzzy.
