We absolutely love the Lyceum for so many different reasons. We initially fell in love with the style of the building and the many spaces to use on our wedding day. What we really love about the Lyceum is their care for their couples. Our original date was in June 2020 and we decided to postpone our big wedding we planned. We still wanted to get married on our original date and the Lyceum let us use the space in June, helped us find some last minute vendors, and still helped us postpone our reception to a later date. We ended up have to postpone AGAIN and they have been so helpful. We can’t wait to show off the Lyceum some day soon to all our friends and family!

I absolutely loved this venue—it provided the perfect, charming backdrop for our wedding and made our special day feel truly magical. From the beautiful outdoor spaces to the elegant indoor areas, everything was well-maintained and thoughtfully designed. The venue’s ambiance really set the tone for an unforgettable celebration.

One of the biggest advantages was the incredible flexibility the venue offered. We were able to do our setup and tear down on separate days, well before and after the wedding day itself, which was a total game-changer. This took so much pressure off us and allowed us to enjoy the actual day without any last-minute stress or rushing. It made the whole experience feel much more relaxed and manageable.

Another fantastic perk was the ability to bring our own alcohol. This gave us complete control over the beverage options and helped us tailor the bar to our guests’ tastes while keeping costs reasonable. It was great not to be locked into expensive packages or limited selections.

Shelby, the wedding coordinator, was absolutely incredible. From our very first meeting, she was warm, professional, and genuinely excited to help us bring our vision to life. She was always quick to respond to questions, offered helpful advice, and handled all the details behind the scenes so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Her calm and organized approach kept everything running smoothly and made us feel supported every step of the way.

The staff at the venue were also friendly and attentive, which added to the welcoming atmosphere. The venue’s location was convenient and easily accessible for our guests, with plenty of parking and accommodations nearby.

Overall, this venue checked every box for us: beautiful setting, amazing flexibility, the freedom to bring our own alcohol, and a coordinator who truly cares. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate one of the most important days of our lives. Highly recommend to any couple looking for a stress-free, personalized wedding experience!

What a great place to host a wedding! The venue was the perfect set up for our wedding of 175 people. Addie was amazing to work with. Communication was great and all her help throughout the whole process was more than expected. She worked well with us and all our vendors and her recommendations were spot on. Would highly recommend

When the weather changed unexpectedly, we had to move our ceremony indoors. That was no problem for the Lyceum. They have beautiful indoor and outdoor options for a ceremony.

There was still plenty of room for the reception tables to be moved to the back and hidden, making them unobtrusive during the ceremony.

The Lyceum is gorgeous! An historic building, it is beautifully maintained. They have a foyer, a sun room, a bridal suite which is basically a small apartment. It has a fridge, dishwasher, oven, coffee maker, pretty much everything the bride would need. There is a makeup studio for the women to have their hair and makeup done. The gents need not fear as there is a pub-style room in the basement for them, allowing the groom and groomsmen to hang around, getting ready while watching two large screen televisions.

Devon is amazing. She has worked with a number of couples and can help guide you through working with the caterers and others. She'll give you her helpful advice (which I think we almost always, if not always, took) on what's worked for other couples here.

We held our wedding reception at the Lyceum, and it was everything I’d want in a venue and more! Until my wedding planner told us about it, I had never heard of the Glendale Lyceum, but I’m so glad she did, because we LOVED it for our venue. There is so much character and charm, and I’d never been to anything like it before. Throughout our wedding planning process, people would ask us what our venue was. When we told them, so many people/vendors would comment on what a gorgeous venue it was, and they were all right. Not only did we love the look of the place, but the service from Cindy and David from the Lyceum was top notch! They let us visit multiple times so we could get a good idea of the layout, we were allowed to come the day before to set up, and we could leave our stuff overnight after the reception and come pick up the next day. They worked seamlessly with our other vendors, resulting in a great overall flow for our reception and they were just so polite and friendly. The fact that we could bring in our own alcohol was also a huge plus, and saved us so much money in our budget. I really can’t say enough good things about this place, and I’m so glad we chose it as the backdrop for our special day!

We can't say enough about the Glendale Lyceum.. EVERYONE connected with the Lyceum made planning our event relaxing and simple. We had plenty of time to set up in this charming, bright, clean venue. Everything we needed ( tables, barware, dishes and place settings etc ) was available to us in their well stocked kitchen area. Our caterer was thrilled we were having our celebration at the Lyceum because of the way they co-operate in every way possible. We could not have been happier with this venue and recommend it highly!

The first time I saw the Glendale Lyceum, I knew it would be the perfect location for our August wedding reception. We could not be more happy with our selection! The space was the perfect size, and we loved the beautiful light-filled main room. The chandeliers, french doors and mantles added touches of elegance and the side areas were ideal for the flow and format of the evening. While the space made for the perfect backdrop, it’s the Glendale Lyceum team that make it the best place in Cincinnati to have a wedding reception. Cindy and Kevin were so flexible, reliable, easy going and knowledgeable throughout the entire planning. They coordinated very well with our vendors and helped us completely customize the layout and pull of our vision. We’re so grateful for our experience with the Glendale Lyceum and they have our highest reccommedation!

I would recommend the Lyceum to anyone! The venue is beautiful. It has several rooms that you can use for a variety of purposes - we used the patio for games, whiskey tasting in the library, cake display in the sun room, and dinner and dancing in the main hall. They have a 'getting ready' area upstairs that is newly-renovated and to die for (think movie-set makeup mirrors and lights)!

Cindy and her team are fantastic! They made everything so easy. We were able to get in early and set up - which is huge for the borderline perfectionistic bride who wants to do everything herself. I almost can't believe how flexible they were!! On top of all that, the Lyceum allowed us to work with whatever vendors we wanted. Again, unbelievable. We could chose our caterer/bakery, bring our own drinks, work with any band, and bring in specialty providers. In addition, most of the vendors we spoke to listed the Lyceum as one of their favorite places to work. Since they have such a great working relationship, I had to do significantly less coordinating. For example, we used the Glendale Florist and I didn't have to do anything beyond deciding on flowers - they coordinated delivery and set-up times! Whew! It's also worth mentioning that Cindy was great at making recommendations. From the layout of the rooms, to linens, she allowed us to leverage her expertise - most of us will only get married once, Cindy does this 20+ times a year!

The pricing is great as well, it's itemized and you know where your dollars are going. I didn't feel duped - which is wonderful. If I had to do it all over again - I would choose the Lyceum in a heartbeat!

This was the perfect place for our wedding. We were able to have our ceremony and reception in the same beautiful venue. There are spaces for outdoor pictures, a warm and inviting library for guests to spend time in before the event, and a stage for the band. There is a bridal suite for the girls to get ready on site, and a pub in the basement for the guys to hang out in while they get ready. You can bring your own alcohol to save money on bar costs. Most of all, the staff are phenomenal. They were open to any ideas I had and were instrumental the week before and day of my wedding in keeping me calm!
