About

I provide unique and modern wedding photojournalism, candids, in addition to highly artistic portraits in a fun and relaxed atmosphere here in New Orleans, Louisiana. Clients receive professional and prompt service along with advice, hints and tips to make planning their destination wedding easy and less stressful. Many have remained friends and return for anniversary and family photographs. My background includes Pulitzer Prize winning mentors, solo gallery exhibitions and a three year self-funded documentary project leased by the USAF. Plus over 10 years as a professional wedding photographer. I've won a few juried awards from AGWPJA, the Artistic Guild of Wedding Photojournalist Association and have been featured in national magazines and newspapers.

Pamela is a talented and artistic photographer. I loved her suggestions for photos walking around the French Quarter - so much better than posed. We loved, loved, loved the photos, and we don't normally like photos of ourselves all that much. On top of all that, Pamela is sheer fun to hang around with and work with.

Not only is Pamela a gifted photographer, she's a genuinely kind and engaging person who puts her clients at ease. She photographed our New Orleans elopement in 2014 and made it a truly unforgettable experience. We could not be more pleased with our experience and the work Pamela did. Her photographs are incredible.

Pamela Reed is a true professional and a true artist. Her work is second to none and she's such a breeze to work with. She knows so much about the art of photography and the images she creates in her mind and comes out of the camera are gorgeous. I periodically find myself going through my wedding photos and just smile thinking of every little moment, because she simply captured the feeling and attitudes of everyone during the whole day! I LOVE her work. She has already done a family shoot for us as well and I plan to hire her for more shoots in the future.

We worked with Pamela for our wedding, and despite the bad weather, our pictures turned out excellent. I highly recommend her, not only is she a great photographer but she is excellent for recommendations and ideas for planning your wedding. We adore our pictures, and have shared them with family/friends and they love our photos! Definitely captures great moments, as well as posed (as our family indicated they wanted as well).

Pamela Reed was the photographer I chose to document our New Orleans Elopement.

Pamela and Brittany were absolutely amazing! We eloped in New Orleans in October and Pam exceeded all of our expectations. This was our first trip to New Orleans so we were very nervous heading into everything but Pam went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and also gave us great tips on checking out the city. She was very flexible and helped us work around the hurricane that was knocking on New Orleans door during our trip! We can't thank her and Brittany enough for their professionalism, flexibility, and responsiveness. Thank you!

Pamela was fantastic! Truly made our wedding day very stress-free - we look relaxed and joyful in all of our photos. She is so laid back and it was very easy to talk to her about what kind of shots I wanted. She was so in tune with us and I was able to trust her 100% with her vision and direction for our photos. There are so many shots that I love because I felt she really captured the moment - emotionally and artistically. She also did a great job communicating with me before and during my wedding day to make sure that we had an understanding as to what kind of photos/shots were important/desired. My husband HATES taking photos and his groomsmen are a pack of jokesters, but Pam was able to get beautiful shots of my husband and his groomsmen. She truly knows how to relate to and connect with people and I think it made everyone very relaxed, which showed in the photos. I highly recommend her if you're looking for artistic shots with true emotion.

Pamela was very professional and made our weding day extra special with her attention to detail and her focus on getting every shot perfect! Everyone who saw the photos was so impressed with her unique style of capturing all the special moments like a fly on the wall!
