Pam did my hair for my wedding and a month later I'm still smiling at how great it turned out looking! I am somewhat of a picky person and am used to doing my own hair/makeup but I figured this was my special day and I wanted someone else to this time and I feel like Pam made me speachless!!!! I loved the way she did my hair and makeup...it was so beautiful and I felt like such a princess. I met with Pam the day before to do a consultation and she got it just right on the day of...I feel like I got lucky!
My mom, mother-in-law, and future sister also had their hair done and she did an excellent excellent job. I think my Mom was still talking about Pam the next day.
It was fun hearing her stories about doing celebrities hair at the Orchid Salon in the Four Seasons (where she works) too...I bet they wanted to steal her and take her home with them because I know I sure did.

It's definitely scary to have someone you don't know doing your hair and makeup on such an important day, but Pam was wonderful. I showed her a few pictures of hairstyles I liked and told her what I wanted in terms of makeup, and let her take it from there. Pam and her assistant also did the hair and makeup of my mom, mother-in-law, and bridesmaids. Everyone looked gorgeous! I loved how my hair and makeup turned out and I felt like a better, more beautiful version of myself! Pam was willing to travel to our wedding location, which was super convenient too. I'm so glad my coordinator recommended Pam!

I think Pam is a very nice person, and I think she tried very hard, but we didn't have the same vision. I took her a picture of how I wanted my hair 2 days before the wedding. On my wedding day AFTER I'd had my hair done, I looked like I had a shower cap on, only it was my hair. And my makeup didn't stay. I was sweaty before I even got to the beach for the ceremony, and by the end of the ceremony, my lipstick was gone. I got to the restaurant for the reception and was horrified to see in the mirror that I had black smudged all under my eyes. My makeup had rubbed off under my eyes! I had seen pictures of her work and told the wedding planner I didn't want to hire her, but since she 'accidentally' forgot to book the makeup artist I wanted, I was stuck. Needless to say, my initial instincts were right. I wish I'd had the artist I wanted. I wanted to look like myself, but I didn't. I looked 'made up'. I ended up looking older than I am, and so did my sister-in-law. Pam ratted her hair (like in the 60's), and it aged her by at least 10 years. If you want to look like you have on makeup, she is the makeup artist for you. But, if you want your makeup and hair to look natural, hire someone else.
