My partner and I ended up less than a week away from our wedding without a DJ, and freaked out until his friend from work recommended Ome. Ome was very chill and easy to work with. We had a Skype session with her where she helped us figure out what the actual sound requirements of a wedding were, and helped us integrate our preferences into the traditional wedding structure - essentially helping us plan the entire order of events. It was amazing: in only a few days, Ome helped us do what most people spend months planning, holding our hands through a process which we were clueless about. When we were undecided on song choices for specific moments, she had great suggestions. She also included almost all of our song suggestions into the dance portion of the event. Ome showed up calm, prepared, and very well dressed. She was a charming MC and knew how to keep things moving and fun in moments that would have otherwise been awkward. She was also very flexible and had no problem adjusting when our events went a bit out of order. The wedding turned out beautiful and Ome helped to make it really special. Our guests danced their @sses off to the awesome beats (even I, someone with no rhythm whatsoever, totally got down), and people spent all night asking us where we found our incredible DJ. Bonus: we had really wanted to include karaoke in the reception but couldn't arrange a rental in time and gave up on that dream. When Ome showed up the day of the wedding, she was like, "hey, you know, I could absolutely set you guys up with karaoke" and did just that. I would recommend Ome in a heartbeat: she was fun, calm, intelligent, and professional. We were extremely grateful for her assistance with the wedding planning, and impressed by the miracles she was able to work in only a few days time.

Ome is absolutely superb! We hired her for our wedding in May, and we couldn't have been more pleased. What truly made her special was her ability to create and maintain energy and to react and improvise on the fly. She stepped in gracefully when needed and stepped back appropriately to let the party flow. She was very professional, flexible, and personable working with us and our venue coordinators to prepare for the big day. And she shined the day of being very well prepared and professional. She generated a fun atmosphere and kept the party going. She provided everything we requested and went way above and beyond to even accommodate special requests from our guests who came all the way from South Africa with boere musiek (getting this on the fly with a language barrier as well was unbelievable) and backing a surprise performance from a friend which made for a really special night. She even had our mom’s dancing like we have never seen before! We give Ome our highest recommendation. You will be very pleased.
