Oklahoma History Center is a historical museum and events space located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The 18-acre museum is dedicated to exploring The Sooner State’s diverse history of genealogy, commerce, transportation, culture, aviation, heritage, and more. With a range of indoor and outdoor event spaces, couples and their guests can marvel in the museum’s beauty as well as celebrate a truly unforgettable event.
Facilities and Capacity
From celebrating the most glamorous of ceremonies to intimate gatherings of just a few close friends and family, this museum can host an array of special events in a variety of ways. The Devon Great Hall is a magnificent setting for luxurious wedding ceremonies and receptions. Featuring hardwood flooring with polish granite accents, the hall oozes modern charm and sophistication. A soaring 80-foot floor to ceiling glass atrium provides breathtaking views of Oklahoma State Capitol and allows natural light to highlight every corner. Additionally, there is a sublime replica of Wiley Post's famous Winnie Mae airplane that is suspended overhead as if it was gliding through the event space. The great hall can be configured in many ways to best suit each couple's design and style. Other indoor event spaces include the Chesapeake Events Center. Ideal for large celebrations and glamorous gatherings, this event space features fantastic original artwork from State Capitol and is complete with a projection-screen, audio-equipment, variable lighting, and a built-in stage for live entertainment. Guests can comfortably be seated in a theatre style for a one-of-a-kind ceremony. Other indoor event spaces include the Atrium Bridge and West Family Hall. Outdoor spaces include the picturesque Walter’s Plaza featuring the Colonial Dames Fountain, and the East Terrace featuring H. Holden’s unforgettable buffalo sculpture, Monarch at Rest.
