Carla and her partner did an amazing job playing at our wedding. The music was beautiful. They were on time and flexible. I would highly recommend.

We used Carla and Daniel for my daughter's wedding in Dahlonega, Ga at Wolf Mountain Winery and they were great! My daughter wanted someone to play music that was more current and they delivered. With a violin and piano we were able to get the sound we wanted. Obsidian Duo also allowed my brother to play the guitar in the middle of their performance. The word I keep hearing over and over is our wedding was MAGICAL! I would hire them all over again and I want to do the wedding again it was so much fun!!! Love them!

We were blown away by the quality of service and the quality of the music we received from Obsidian Duo. Our guests were talking about it for months after the wedding (I think they liked Obsidian Duo more than the rest of the wedding, haha). They played flawlessly while the guest were entering (no small feat considering how long it took for our guests to find their seats), and they played for the ceremony itself. Then, after the ceremony, they transitioned flawlessly to the banquet hall to play for our first dances. They allowed us to hand pick each song, and executed them perfectly. We asked if they could play a song from Phantom of the Opera for our first dance, and they said no problem! Overall, they were probably the biggest factor in making our wedding as magical as it was! Live musicians made all the difference, and if you are going to use live musicians, Obsidian Duo is the group you can rely on for your big day! You will be blown away!

Everything about working with the Obsidian Duo was a pleasure. They played the piano and violin for the prelude and ceremony music for my daughter's wedding. I came to them without any experience in choosing musicians for a wedding, and my initial contact, Carla, completely set my mind at ease. After hearing a sample of their repertoire, I was so relieved to have found them. Daniel and Carla played every song beautifully and they are extremely talented musicians. They were always responsive, courteous and very professional. They were very helpful and accommodating with my daughter's music selections. Their music brought so much beauty to the ceremony, and I will be forever grateful to them. We received so many compliments on the music and best of all, my daughter was so happy with their flawless performance. I very highly recommend the Obsidian Duo.

We wanted a violen/piano duo. I loved piano and my now husband loves violen. We loved working with Carla and Daniel- they were by far the most cost effective. They were always prompt to respond. One of our favorite things was going to their basement stuido and hearing them play music for us. Arrived in plenty of time for the reception, professional and I heard they sounded great. I would recommend them.

Carla was very responsive and responded to any questions quickly. They also sent us a CD for the rehearsal so we could practice with the music. They played a live demo to help us pick out the music we wanted at their house. This was very helpful when choosing our songs. They seemed to know the songs we needed and played them well. Also, one thing that bothers me is the timing of the music not being appropriate to the wedding party, but they did an excellent job of making sure the songs were played at the right time. I would definitely recommend them.

If I could give the Obsidian Duo 10 stars, I definitely would! My wedding was 9/3/2011 and my guests/family are still commenting on the beautiful arrangments they played. Leading up to the wedding, Carla was always very responsive and answered any questions I had within 24 hours. I highly reccomend the Obsidian Duo to all brides. Their performance was absolutely flawless. My Husband and I still listen to the CD they provided to us of our ceremony music.

We enjoyed working with Carla and Daniel for our ceremony. They provided the ceremony music and really worked with us to customize the songs and brainstorm on selections. The music was beautiful, and they even have a portable piano they can provide if the venue does not have a piano.

I had the piano/violin duo for my wedding on June 18th. Carla and her husband are absolutely wonderful to work with! Not only did I enjoy communicating with Carla before the wedding, but I was blown away by the beautiful music. I also needed a soloist at the last minute, and Carla had one booked within one day! They are wonderful, and if you are smart you will use them to make your day so special like they did mine!
