Oakbourne Mansion is a very beautiful venue. The township owns the park grounds so the cost to rent was budget-friendly. We ended up renting not only the park grounds for a tent but also the mansion itself in case there was a freak storm. We spent $2200 and this is probably the most you can spend there. Wedding planning is no picnic and it seems like every other venue is at least $5000 and up. This is not that. You get true value for what you spend. You are NOT bound by the venue's caterer here because they don't have one. They don't insist on a monopoly on that . You can choose whichever caterer you want! We went with Fette Sau and had a BBQ wedding in September. Pam Coleman (who was our venue liaison) was so nice to us and responsive throughout the entire process. We had the ceremony near the water tower and then just had our guests walk a few feet to the tent for the reception. We also used Taylor Rental for the tent, chairs, and table because they have worked with Oakbourne before so they know the set up already. Overall, we spent no more than $16,000 for our wedding TOTAL. That's not chump change by any means but considering the average of cost of a wedding these days, that was truly a deal. Plus, we and our guests were happy on our wedding day so what more can you ask for.

Oh wait - Oakbourne was okay with letting me have my dogs at the wedding. So yeah, I guess you could ask for more!

We had our wedding at Oakbourne Mansion on September 16th and is was perfect! We wanted to have the ceremony and reception outdoors, and we wanted to have some unique food (BBQ pig roast, ice cream truck, cupcake truck). Oakbourne was really flexible and accommodating working with all of our different vendors (township rep for Oakbourne was Pam Coleman and she's great), setting up a large tent for our reception, and basically allowing us the freedom to have exactly the wedding and reception we wanted. We received so many compliments on the venue, our guests were just in love with it! We got married in front of the water tower behind the mansion and our pictures are gorgeous, it was such a unique backdrop! Even though we held most of our event outside (we just used the restrooms and kitchen inside the mansion), our guests enjoyed wondering around the mansion and we took photos inside too as there are great backdrops inside for pictures as well. Oakbourne Mansion is a hidden gem with a great history that a lot of people don't know about. We love this place, and now our guests do too!
