Let me just go ahead and say it..... I HATE FONDANT! With that in mind I knew I did not want a "traditional wedding cake", also, I think cake cutting fees are beyond stupid.... So I wanted something easy and creative.
I was at the wedding expo, I was hungry, not going to lie.... that is the only reason I stopped at the NBC booth, I wanted a snack and they had free samples. I grew up thinking the bundt cakes were dry and boring..... oooooh no, nothing dry and boring at NBC!! This was quite possibly one of the most delicious pieces of cake I had ever put in my mouth!
That's when the brain storm hit me.... we could get bundtini (cupcake size bundts) for each guest, and stack a medium size cake and bundtlet (about the size of a Costco muffin) for our cake cutting ceremony....and it would literally cost us 1/5th the price of a traditional cake!
This was a cost effective and absolutely delicious way to do our wedding cake. They delivered right to the venue, the staff at the Glendale store was totally awesome, sweet, professional, and VERY helpful! All of my guests LOVED their bundtinis, they gobbled them up like they were going out of style!
