Hi, there! I’m Herber. I used to be a chef before I pursued my passion in photography. When people hear this, they often ask me what is my favorite thing to cook, but I really don’t have usuals. I prefer to see what is available to make something out of it, improvising my way through the meal. I make my recipes in the moment based on my feeling in that second. My little Chihuahua loves when I cook because sometimes I can sneak him a little taste when my wife is distracted! After working all day and cooking dinner, I like to chill and Netflix with my wife. My favorite shows are Game of Thrones, Friends, Dexter, and The 70’s Show. On my days off, there’s nothing better than a relaxed morning when I get to experiment with my espresso machine or make an amazing original coffee with my Chemex. After thoroughly enjoying my morning coffee, I love to take a day trip with hiking and a relaxing wine and cheese picnic with my wife, and then catch up on my soccer games when we get home to rest. On rainy days I like to play video games with my wife, or, if she is busy, I enjoy saving the realm on Assassin’s Creed. My truest passion, though, is still photography. I love to show the wonders and beauty of life and the individual lives and stories that I can immortalize with just me and my camera. After discovering my wife’s untapped love for photography and natural skill, we decided that not only would we build our life together but also a business. I am looking forward to doing what I love with the people I love.
Hey, ya’ll! I’m Rose, and I moved here to Cali all the way from rural South Carolina to pursue a romance with my best friend, Herber. Little did I know that less than a year later we would be happily married and building both a life and a business together. I’m excited to pursue this passion for both of us and spend more time by his side doing what we love—immortalizing the beautiful days and moments of someone’s story. I also enjoy spending much of my free time with him. When we have free days, we enjoy travelling to the Bay Area to visit my in-laws or Tahoe to explore nature and go hiking. Our longest hike so far has been climbing the mountain at Yosemite National Park. Since I was diagnosed, I’ve spent years of my life being told everything I can’t do. I thought, if I can climb a mountain this size, there’s really nothing I can’t achieve. When we stay local, we really like to get froyo or take our Yorkie and Chihuahua to the dog parks and on walk outside. When we stay in, we enjoy cooking. Mostly, my husband is teaching me to cook because he used to be a chef…but we have some things in the South that I can still teach him—mostly some casseroles and delicious cornbread! When I’m not spending time with him, I enjoy long video calls with my dad in South Carolina. The time difference makes it hard to talk every day, so lazy weekend mornings are our favorite time to hang out and play Minecraft. This year, my husband and dad and dogs video called to carve our pumpkins, one of my favorite holiday traditions! I always make the same face on my pumpkin ever since I was 8 years old, and I called him El Guapo, my annual October pumpkin friend. Some things never get old. I love to play co-op video games with my husband, including surviving the zombie apocalypse together, and once in a while I like to make some furniture or practice pyrography, the art or burning artwork into wood. Finally, I’m very into photography lately, as my husband has been very good about teaching me to be a quality professional photographer. Mostly, I enjoy doing engagement shoots and weddings with him, but I also like to just come and assist even for smaller events. Even when we don’t need two shooters, I’m there to deliver the punch lines and get the whole family laughing for some irresistible photos and unforgettable moments!
