Nopalito catered our wedding in Mill Valley this November, bringing a taco bar to our wedding venue. We chose Nopalito as our wedding caterer because it's one of our favorite restaurants; the taco bar was absolutely delicious, as were the appetizers and the salad catered by Nopalito (people really raved about the guacamole and the crispy chickpeas). Our guests loved the food, and the taco bar made it easy to accommodate various dietary restrictions or preferences. The Nopalito team was easy to work with and super communicative throughout, and pricing was very fair. We are so happy we went with Nopalito for our wedding!

I knew I wanted delicious Mexican food and cocktails for our Mendocino wedding, served family style. The cookbook initially pointed us their way, but after a few rounds of family taste testing from Sonoma to San Francisco and some communication online, Nopalito was the clear choice.

Kyra was an absolute star to work with, walking through the options of food and service to meet our desires and budget. She really helped us think through the schedule of events, food and service related rentals, incorprorated our DIY flourishes, accommodated our guests with dietary restrictions, coordinated with other vendors, and handled our COVID reschedule seamlessly. On the day, she and her team were super professional and friendly in our very rustic setting, and OMG was the food worth every penny.

We did an informal taste test of some of the menu and drinks in their SF restaurant and I think the food was even better at our wedding. Highlights for me were the paloma cocktails (we added rosemary sprigs), vibrant aguafrescas (perfect non-alcoholic fun drink), homemade paleta popsicles for our cocktail hour (the berry habanero one was SPICY), succulent chicken mole and carnitas for DIY tacos, world's most tender tamales and bright esquite salad for vegetarians, and delicious cups of spiced mexican hot chocolate for our dessert bar.

If I had any critique, it would be that the appetizers could be a bit more refined for a wedding setting (we had some quesadilla drips on fancy clothes) and the local beer and wine options expanded. But honestly, everything was excellent, I literally had a chef-guest shout at me during dinner that the food was Amazing.

Nopalito beautifully catered our wedding for 150 people in the Santa Cruz area. They really know what they’re doing. Every bite was delicious and served professionally. It is nice that the people who staff their catered events are the same folks who work at their restaurants. It means they know the food and have the same standard for professionalism. Guests raved about their meals. Their staff invited tables of guests up to walk through the buffet. It took exactly how much time they told us it would. In the lead up, Blanca and Alexis were incredibly communicative—responding to emails at all hours and answering any questions we had. They helped us choose items for the food and drink menu that would be hits with our guests (some of whom were kids) as well as items that satisfied our more foodie preferences. Given the quality of service and food, we felt the quote was very reasonable. This was money very well spent.

Nopalito did an incredible job at our wedding. The cocktails were delectable and unique, the wine & beer was amazing, the hors d'oeuvres were mouthwatering, and the dinner was flavorful and comforting. From growing up in San Francisco, I know people here are all about the food. So I had to have the best (organic, sustainable) food at our wedding. I worked with Alexis and Blanca throughout the whole process, and they were incredible - extremely communicative, highly accommodating, and very professional. They went above and beyond to make the whole cocktail reception, family-style dinner, and dessert wonderful and smooth. I did not worry one bit because they had everything planned perfectly, and you could see how experienced they are with big events.

Wonderful working with the Nopalito team to cater my wedding. Their food is delicious and added to the local, San Francisco flair I wanted at my wedding. My husband and I really wanted an interactive experience among guests at their table so we opted for their carnitas and tamales dinner - family style. The food was amazing! The icing on the cake were their paletas (popsicles), which were served out of a cute, retro popsicle cart. The dark chocolate and cinnamon flavor is by far my favorite! Aside from the food, I had a wonderful time working with the Nopalito catering staff. They understood what I wanted for my wedding, worked with my budget, and were flexible with line items in my contract to ensure I was happy with the proposal ... and I was! I'm thrilled I was able to have them cater my wedding. I highly recommend them.

My wife and I chose Nopalito to cater our wedding for ~130 people. Choosing Nopalito off of the Conservatory of Flowers preferred vendor list was an easy choice for us because we wanted to have a mexican-style meal and we knew we loved their food having dined at both restaurant locations in the city. Our only hesitation was that they were not the cheapest caterers of those available. However, once we started working with Alexis (Nopalito’s catering and events coordinator), it became glaringly apparent that they were the perfect and best choice for our wedding. When planning a wedding, there really is no substitute for professionalism, strong communication, and a positive attitude; Alexis exudes all three of these. From the start she provided us an itemized proposal which laid out the standard options they provide and allowed us to customize our choice to fit exactly what we wanted. Alexis worked creatively to ensure our final selections were within our budget. We chose three passed appetizers as well as the taco bar which included three types of meat (beef, shrimp, and chicken). The food was...PHENOMENAL. We cannot tell you how many people came up to us raving out the passed appetizers. In fact, one of our guests was so impressed she assumed there was not a full meal since the appetizers were so good and there were so many of them. Dinner was also spectacular. The Nopalito catering staff was extremely friendly, courteous, and polite. They were incredibly efficient throughout the day and at the end of the night, they had everything organized and packed promptly. At the end of the day, there is no way to describe how satisfied we are with Alexis and the Nopalito team. If we had all the money in the world and could go back and re-do our wedding, we would always choose Nopalito based on the quality of the services they provided. My husband and I love food....especially Mexican. One of our biggest pet peeves is BAD food at weddings. It happens all too often! We knew we wanted a quality catering company, and once I found out Nopalito does catering, it was a no brainer. We were so happy with the experience and our guests were going crazy over how delicious and bountiful the food was. I would highly recommend hiring Nopalito for your next wedding or event! Oh wow, we're so glad we hired Nopalito to cater our wedding! It is one of our favorite restaurants in the city and we knew our guests would be delighted to enjoy their food that night. Working with Georgeanna was such a pleasure - she was so detail oriented that it gave my control-freak side a break. I just knew that she had everything in place. I also appreciated her advice and guidance on what would make most sense in timing, portions, service, etc. There was a lot that her team did outside of just food service. Anyways - let's talk about the food! We opted for passed bites and a few food stations rather than a seated dinner. I thought that we got better quality food (made on site, fresh), more varieties and were able to save on budget. The format allowed for more time to socialize instead of being stuck at a table. Our guests loved the spicy, pulled beef sliders w guacamole, the carnitas tacos (best corn tortillas ever), and rich tamales. For dessert we did flan and mexican hot chocolate - both amazing. We also hired Nopalito to run our bar for which they brought in amazing fresh margaritas and a seasonal sangria. All around top notch service and amazing food. I'd highly recommend Nopalito - your guests will love it!
