Nola Live Painting LLC by Kristen Schenck is located in New Orleans, LA.

Kristen specializes in creating a unique piece of heirloom artwork live on your wedding day, that your guests get to watch come to life from start to almost completed during your reception.

Kristen is very detailed when it comes to her paintings, working one on one with her couples before the wedding to discuss the details and specifics of their painting, including the background scene of their painting, pose and adding in dogs and cats (furbabies).

In almost every live painting, Kristen adds in hidden "Easter Eggs', of course only special items requested by the couple. If you look closely in almost every one of Kristen's original live paintings, you will find birds, butterflies, books, eyeglasses, and the list goes on and on. Some items with special meanings are not meant to be hidden, for example a fireman's jacket representing a loved one who couldn't be with the couple on their special day, but still in their hearts is located in one of her paintings.

Growing up, Kristen lived in St. Charles Parish, a suburb of New Orleans, where she started drawing and painting as a toddler. Kristen's Paw Paw was a large part of her art upbringing and art journey, she would share with him her most recent works of art when she was a child. Her Paw Paw, being a painter by trade himself, would offer words of advice to help her enhance her budding talent.

Kristen graduated from the University of New Orleans focusing her studies in Art, Marketing and History. In early 2016 Kristen set up an easel and painted a bridal show open house, there she fell in love with painting live while enjoying talking with guests. This was the beginning of Nola Live Painting.

Kristen has been painting live for 10 years for hundreds of couples and thousands of guests.

Couples can choose from a variety of canvas sizes. Each canvas package comes with thank you cards with the couples custom painting printed on the front. If Kristen is booked on your special day, she also offers a service where she can paint a wedding scene from a photo.
