My husband and I booked Nelstudios for both our engagement photos and our wedding. Nelson was an absolute pleasure to work with! He was knowledgeable and personable. He was more than happy to hear our wishes on specific poses, and he even captured a perfect photo with our fur-babies! Nelson did a wonderful job working around hectic hotel rooms to ensure we received memorable photos from our special day. Nelstudios did a fantastic job photographing our wedding! We knew from the start that this would be a tricky event to photograph: It was going to be in an aquarium, so the lighting would be dim, there would be unpredictable animals, and we really wanted good candid photos of our guests. But Nelson and his assistant rose to every challenge. For instance, it was windy outside and some of the wedding party was late to arrive (due to a scheduling error on our part,) but they changed up the plans a bit, and we still got all the dreamy outdoor first look photos and happy family portraits we wanted. Nelson made great suggestions for spur-of-the-moment photo opportunities during the reception, but still hit every item on the "high-priority" list of pictures that we'd made in advance. The candid photos of our guests all capture their personalities beautifully. The editing work is wonderful too--the lighting and colors are stunning, and the artistry is evident in every photo. We couldn't have asked for a better record of our wedding; we would wholeheartedly recommend Nelstudios to anyone.

Nelstudios was absolutely great for our wedding! Extremely friendly and respected our space as we got ready, but made sure to capture the moments perfectly. Would highly recommend Nelstudios! We decided to have a small wedding (60 people) at our favorite restaurant in Brooklyn and wanted the photos to capture the warmth and intimacy of the day. I keep describing and recommending Nelson and Nelstudios to people as a "graceful fly on the wall" - because everything was so seamless (from the beginning of working together, to the photos taken during the day, to the delivery of the the photos we ordered). We got such lovely photos - they were so natural and truly captured the spirit of the day. Nelstudios did incredible work for our wedding. We had an intimate ceremony with various photo locations, and every single photo came out magazine worthy! Nelson was excellent in providing instructions that took all the guess work out of posing and made us feel very confidant and comfortable in front of the camera. Nelstudios shot our engagement photos and did a wonderful job! The day was low pressure and comfortable, but he still managed to guide us through many locations and different "poses" that didn't look posed. I usually don't like the way I look in photos, but he took so many good ones that it was hard for me to choose which to use. Would definitely recommend that you use Nelson at Nelstudios for your photo needs!

Nelson shot engagement photos for my wife and I over the summer and we had a truly wonderful experience. He’s an excellent photographer with the easy personality and technical mastery to capture your individual style, make you look good, and make potentially stressful events fun and comfortable. His talent and passion for his craft is obvious, and he’s well cut out for it. After seeing our photos, we were most impressed by his seemingly effortless ability capture the genuine emotion and “feel” of the event whiling simultaneously making us look great. You can tell that he enjoys what he does, which makes the whole thing so much more natural with outstanding end results to show for it. On top of it all, he’s a really nice guy. Try to book early- it was a huge disappointment when we couldn’t get him for our actual wedding, one of our few regrets from that day!
