It was a beautiful place to have our small reception at. It fit our budget and let us have the keys a day before and return them the day after! This helped a great deal!

The Deposit that hold your date is the rental. The other amount is for damages. You will get that back if no damages have been done. You can get keys 9 am the day before the wedding.

Our wedding at Mt. Gilead was just perfect.! The staff was very accommodating and enjoyable to work with. The process for rental was very clear and easy. The venue itself allows for much flexibility which was allowed and provided such opportunity. Incredibly affordable. Had time to set up and tear down. Everyone had a lovely time and we couldn't be happier!
The only tid-bit we'd say is there were many dandelions throughout the lawn where we had our reception in a tent. This didn't ruin anything, of course, although it was kind of annoying since we asked if they'd be taken care of and they were still there the day of the wedding. But the day was still perfection!

it was an absolutely beautiful place. we got lucky and had perfect weather outside for our wedding - but had it been a little too warm the church was air conditioned so you could get a break form the summers heat. there are endless possibilities for decorating inside and outside. And for me personally the historic graveyard and all the gorgeous headstones were just icing on top and provided an amazing back drop for photos (if your into that kinda thing). they are so flexible with timing - we were able to pick up the keys the day before and get the majority of the decorating and set up done, leaving the actual wedding day much less stressful. as well as come back the next day to finish all the clean up so your not having to worry about packing up everything before you leave for a honeymoon or rely on your guests to stay late to help. i would 100% recommend this place to anyone who likes outdoor&indoor venues. it was perfect!
