Missy Garnett & The Two Dollar Pistols Born and raised in the small town of Mattoon, Illinois, Missy Garnett (Gawthorp) aspired to performing at a very young age, watching her father's performances with his country band, "Roy Linder and the Country Company" throughout East Central Illinois. Having watched her older sister sing on stage with her father, only enhanced her desire to sing for a live audience. Missy has since performed in school musicals, talent shows, national vocal competitions, local fairs & festivals, and has performed on the CMT television series, Karaoke Dokey. She also worked for a small market country radio station, (101.3 WMCI) for nearly four years as an on-air personality (Missy Thorp) and promotions director, in the hopes of gaining new knowledge about the music industry. Missy has opened for such artists as Cyndi Thompson, Gary Allen, Keith Urban, Diamond Rio, Trace Adkins, The Buckingham's, The Kentucky Headhunter's, Aaron Tippin, and Trace Adkins. After recording her first demo CD in Nashville, TN. with "Whispering" Bill Andersen's recording engineer, Missy moved to Nashville and has performed on various Nashville stages, including Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, The Second Fiddle, The Cadillac Ranch, The Hotel Preston, John A's, Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park, as well as The Nashville Palace. John Pineiro plays lead guitar and was born and raised on Long Island, NY. He started playing at a very early age. Studied with some of the best instructors in NY and received degrees in Jazz Performance and Music Education. Now, in Nashville, just finished Perfect Image Recording and is producing as well as playing guitar with some of Nashville's newest stars David B. Show on bass, vocals and is also a songwriter From Columbus, Ohio - Moved to Nashville in 1988 to further music career As a former member of the band "Buckskin",Dave was fortunate to back such artists as; Little Jimmy Dickins, Billy Walker, Wilma Lee Cooper, Jan Howard,David Wills,Orion, Teri Reed and Wolfman Jack. Buckskin also was an opening act for Waylon Jennings,Gary Morris,Jerry Lee Lewis,Mel McDaniel,Porter Wagoner,Bill Anderson,Sawyer Brown and John Schneider among others. Dave later traveled with and played bass for Leroy Vandyke, Dave Dudley and Ronnie Prophet. Dave is a current member of B.M.I. and NSAI. Bob Lewin Keyboards Bob grew up in Memphis and began playing trumpet in local rock and soul bands in high school. He continued playing in local bands throughout his college days at the University of Memphis where he majored in music. After receiving his masters in music degree he began touring with various bands before joining the Johnny Cash Band in 1978, playing trumpet, synthesizers, organ, French Horn, and piano when pianist Earl Ball missed a show. Bob played in The Johnny Cash Band for eleven years backing up artists such as John & June Carter Cash, John Carter Cash, The Carter Family, Carlene Carter, Rosie Nix, Jan Howard, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson, John Schneider, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and others. Bob has performed on many Johnny Cash and other artist’s recordings playing Trumpet, French Horn, Flugelhorn, piano, Hammond B3 organ, and Synthesizers. Bob played Trumpet on Ring of Fire on the Classic Cash album which was recorded in 1988, French Horn on Ghost Riders in the Sky and L&N on the Johnny Cash Silver Album, Keyboards on 16 Tons, Here Comes That Rainbow Again, and many more. Bob also played trumpet on the Class of 55 album featuring Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Roy Orbison. Trumpet on the Survivors album featuring Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, and Jerry Lee Lewis. Bob has also appeared on numerous TV shows as a member of the Johnny Cash Band. Bob continues working in his private recording studio recording keyboard tracks on piano, Hammond B3 organ, synthesizer, and works as a producer with a few select artists. Kevin Lewin on percussion Kevin grew up in Memphis and began playing drums at an early age. He moved to the Nashville area with his parents and began playing in local bands. He recorded drums and sang background vocals with hard rock band IMPACT in the 90’s. Their music can be found on iTunes (IMPACT “Caught in the Act”). Kevin is currently in the finishing stages on a new Contemporary Christian rock CD project with new group “Triple-Seven” featuring Kevin on drums and background vocals with Bill Barlow on guitar and vocals.
