Our initial meeting for our wedding desserts with Michelle was fine. The “tasting” cupcakes were moist, had great flavor and appearance. Although Michelle was friendly and enthusiastic it was somewhat difficult for her to grasp our “vision”.
After having clarified with her and selected the cupcakes (which were to double as centerpieces), as well as a cake and other desserts, communication with us was non-existent on her part. E-mails and phone calls went unreturned over a period of months until I finally drove to the bakery (an hour and a half away) to speak with her in person.
After repeated requests, a contract was finally received only 3 days prior to the wedding.
Unfortunately, the quality of the wedding cupcakes for all of our guests were very disappointing -they were visibly over baked, dry, and crumbled when eaten. Other baked goods were acceptable.
Based on the poor quality of the cupcakes and extremely difficult communication I cannot recommend Michelle’s Sweet Creations/Depot Cafe.
