From the moment we found Michael and Laura, we knew they were something special. We came across them while looking through blog posts from weddings at our venue, and there was one photo in particular that completely stopped us. It was a shot no other photographer had captured—even though many of them were regulars at the venue. When we met with Michael and Laura, we were shocked to learn they had only photographed one wedding there. Their ability to see and use a space with such a creative, artistic eye is truly incredible.
That creative vision really stood out on our wedding day. There’s one moment in particular that perfectly sums them up. While taking photos at the top of the stairs with the venue behind us, I asked if we could turn around to get the hydrangeas in the background. They happily did it, no questions asked. But when we got our gallery back, I realized their original idea—the one they saw—was so much stronger. That photo is now one of my absolute favorites. That’s what makes Michael and Laura so unique: they see things you don’t even realize you want until you see the final result.
From our very first meeting through our engagement session and wedding day, Michael and Laura were easy to talk to, bubbly, positive, and genuinely kind. They make taking photos truly fun, and they were incredibly organized and on top of our tight timeline due to daylight savings. Because of them, all of our photos were completed before the ceremony, which allowed us to enjoy cocktail hour with our guests—such a special and unexpected treat.
Throughout the day, they brought the calmest, kindest presence. During portraits, they were upbeat and confident, guiding us through every pose—right down to where to put our thumbs—while constantly reassuring us that we were doing great. But then, during the ceremony and reception, they seamlessly faded into the background, never intrusive, yet somehow capturing every meaningful detail—including moments we didn’t even realize they were there for.
One of the most incredible surprises happened during our cake cutting when they pulled out an iPad and said, “Want to see?” They already had edited sneak peeks ready for us that night. They even set the iPad on the bar so our guests could see them. In all the weddings we’ve attended, we’ve never seen photos the same night—and they were stunning. The full gallery came back quickly as well and exceeded every expectation. The level of care and intention they put into their work is next-level.
And their thoughtfulness didn’t stop after the wedding. Around Christmas, they sent us their Christmas card along with a jigsaw puzzle made from one of our wedding photos. It was so unexpected and incredibly meaningful—we absolutely loved those extra touches and details they added in.
From the moment we booked them, we felt supported. They sent emails with a ton of helpful information, and regularly checked in and made us feel cared for the entire way.
Michael and Laura are not only unbelievably talented photographers, but truly wonderful people. Hiring them was one of the best decisions we made, and we will cherish our photos—and the memories of working with them—forever. 💛

We love so many of the candid shots of us and our guests during speeches and dancing! We keep looking at the photos over and over, reliving the best day of our lives. They sent us sneak peaks the following day, and provided so many more photos and blog post within a few days! I think that is a record for wedding photography!

Our guests have been raving about Michael and Laura. I must have had 30+ people tell me how incredible they both were, most of them saying they were the best photographers they've ever seen. Not only the stunning photos, but how they interacted with us and guests all evening. Both Michael and Laura subtly noticed moments or people we were interacting with to capture, they were not intrusive yet present at all the right times, and were just a lovely calming, fun, and supportive presence through the day!

Last, and probably most important - beyond the beautiful photos, we just loved working with them as people. They are both so kind, patient, helpful, calming, fun, and the best hype team we could have asked for. They truly went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable, supported, and at ease that day (and through the planning process). They were so thoughtful to ask and want to understand family dynamics, and any special requests like the photo rush. The very thoughtful blog post and audio message were just a cherry on top and a perfect example of how they are just the best, and made us feel so special.

Michael and Laura were expectational! Our wedding consisted of a small private ceremony in Libby Hill Park and then a large reception at the Jefferson Hotel. Not only did they take incredible photos but they were also super helpful in coordinating logistics. They were extremely efficient when it came to taking the standard bride/groom and family photos, which my husband and I both appreciated. They made sure to capture all the moments we wanted and were super fun to work with! The photos at both locations were amazing and something we will truly treasure forever. Highly recommend!

They are incredibly efficient and took such good care of us. When a downpour immediately followed our ceremony, they handled the change of plans with such grace, pivoting our after-ceremony photos effortlessly. At one point, we realized no one knew how to put in my veil, and without a second thought, Laura stepped in and effortlessly placed it for me.

Their expertise made us feel completely comfortable and confident while taking pictures, allowing us to be ourselves. They captured the beauty of our day in every way, from the smallest details to the most intimate, candid moments. The turn-around for our sneak peeks was incredibly fast, followed by a personalized blog and our entire wedding album. Their talent is unmatched, and they truly have an eye for capturing the emotion and atmosphere of a moment. We can't imagine our wedding day without them and would recommend them as a must-have vendor for any couple.

We engaged Michael & Laura to photograph our wedding, rehearsal dinner and welcome party in January and couldn't have been happier with our decision.
