We absolutely loved our wedding pictures with Maggie! She was able to travel with us to Oregon and take pictures the whole week of my family hanging out and at our wedding. It was pure magic from the beginning. The moment I met Maggie, I knew instantly she was going to capture and go above and beyond all of our photography needs. Clearly I was spot on with my intuition because 3 years later she still amazes me with her outstanding skills and amazing photos.

It all started when we requested Maggie for our engagement and wedding photos. Initially she was busy the weekend of our wedding, we were bummed, but understood. Maggie and my husband had coordinated a pre wedding photo shoot where we took some beautiful Des Moines skyline shots and then ventured over to Woodland Cemetery. Prior to photos- we arranged to have dinner downtown, little did I know, she had a huge surprise up her sleeve. She presented my husband and I with a letter which we thought just listed prices and details of the shoot we were going to do. Oh no. She got us good! It was a letter stating that her prior commitment on our wedding day had been cancelled and she could now do our wedding. I was thrilled because I could tell by her previous work and how instantly we connected over a friendship, she was the perfect fit to capture our big day. She knew how much it would mean to us to have her at our wedding and she wanted to make it as special as possible. The way she put this surprise together was more than I would have ever expected and truly showed how much she cares for her customers.

Since then, Maggie has captured all of our family photos and always has the best ideas for scenery and layout. She also goes along with some of my crazy ideas and makes them happen. From fall family photos to dog portraits, she does it all and always shows how much she loves doing it.

Maggie is incredibly professional to work with, but never makes a photo shoot uncomfortable or sterile- we are always laughing and having the best time. She is easy to get along with and always wants to make sure you are happy with her work and will do whatever it takes to accomplish that. She’s dedicated to her photography and customers. I recommend Maggie to everyone and anyone (of which many of my friends and family have had photos taken with her now) and I know many people who would say and feel the same. Meeting Maggie was a blessing- she is our lifetime photographer and I am so grateful for that!

Maggie did our engagement and wedding photos. She truly made both experiences feel so comfortable and effortless.
