We hired Sean and Shannon to photograph our wedding after seeing samples of their work at the venue we got married at, Leoness Cellars. Being a photographer myself I had higher standards in what I wanted in the photos of my wedding. And, to say Sean and Shannon surpassed that standard is without a doubt correct! They did an AMAZING JOB capturing all the special moments and more. The detail of their work is only surpassed by their amazing attitudes and professionalism. I had more guests at our wedding tell us how great they were AND how nice they were. From our first meeting with them to our wedding day, Sean and Shannon had every detail of our wedding in mind so we didn't have to worry about a thing. Sean was wonderful to work with. He was easy to reach over the phone with questions and I was planning my wedding from out of state. We met the day before the wedding at the venue to plan our photos which was very helpful. However inclement weather changed our plans when extreme rain and wind suddenly moved our ceremony from outside to indoors 30 minutes before the ceremony began! Sean just worked with us and then we still took rainy pics after the ceremony outside.
He made us feel comfortable and we can’t wait to see the pictures!

Before I get started on the amazing experience we had with Memories & Promises Photography, let me give you a short back story. The very first email I sent to Memories & Promises Photography went something like this. “Can you edit our wedding photos that are 3 years old that another photographer took?” After receiving a few no’s, Sean responded not only with a yes, but a “yes, yes and yes!” and from then on I knew we would have a great experience!!! We cannot thank Memories & Promises Photography enough for the all around quality experience we received. Sean’s honesty, transparency, and communication, via email and phone, is what sets their company aside from everyone else!!! Never did we feel we weren’t in good hands or that we weren’t one of their couples from the start!! Although I never talked to Shannon, she played a huge “behind the scenes” role in our project. Editing someone else’s work is never an easy task but they edited and created a beautiful wedding album that they are proud to put their name on and we are proud to show off!!! Sean and Shannon have been a dream to work with! We got engaged right before Covid-19, and had planned our adventure engagement shoot prior to everything getting shut down. When our original plans had to be rearranged, they were so helpful and easy going and made us feel so comfortable with finding remote, beautiful locations to shoot. They are SO fun to be around, their creativity together is priceless and their photography is just absolutely beautiful . Sean and Shannon have become our friends through this process, especially with navigating through uncertain times, and we are so excited and blessed to have them be a big part of our wedding weekend in a few months!!

Sean was the photographer assigned to us through an elopement package we purchased. Boy, did we get lucky. He was fantastic: professional and personable. He caught special moments between us that I was surprise to see when the photos were ready for us to review. Sean also built a beautiful wedding album from 100 photos we selected from the hundreds that were taken. The photos were so good it was difficult to only select 100. I'm so delighted with the results.

My family and I just recently had a maternity shoot and the photos were awesome! Sean and Shannon really made the experience fun and painless. My kids also had a good time and were able to cooperate through the shoot (thanks to Shannon). We really appreciate the extra effort that Sean and Shannon showed in helping make the photos come out really good and creative! My two year old daughter enjoyed playing tag with Shannon and posing for her photos as well.

Sean Cox of Memories and Promises Photography truly proves that he loves his work. My wife and I recently hired Sean to photograph our wedding in Laguna Beach. As we were planning our wedding, already overwhelmed with a list of vendors, we were left with a list of recommendations for photographers and whatever we could find on the internet. Though all photographers were quick to email price lists and hourly rates, Sean’s first desire was to meet us. Sean promptly set up a meeting with the 2 of us, himself, and his wife Shannon. Sean and Shannon were most interested in us and our love story. Sean then explained his philosophy when it came to photography and its pertinence to our wedding. He and Shannon worked with us to design a custom package to meet our needs and budget.

We had the opportunity to have two sessions with Sean: An engagement shoot and our wedding/reception. The engagement shoot was not only successful, but a very fun family night. Sean was prompt on providing us edited pictures. Over the next couple of months, Sean was in almost constant contact as we prepared for our big day. He made us feel as if our wedding was the most important event on his calendar.

When the wedding arrived, Sean and Shannon arrived earlier than expected, and stayed much later than planned. Sean was very efficient on getting the wedding party pictures and stayed throughout the night adhering to a picture schedule that he had put together for us. Sean and Shannon were not looming photographers that got in the way during the night. Rather, Sean and Shannon blended into the party, interacted with our guests to get a sense of personalities that I believe enabled an excellent set of pictures. Most of our guests provided compliments as to how amazing our photography team was.

I cannot provide high enough feedback for Sean and Shannon and would encourage anyone having an event in Southern California to strongly consider Memories and Promises Photography.
