Megan and her husband are so fun to work with! They make everything feel so natural! Her pictures are beyond amazing!

I hired Megan for my engagement/wedding shot package after seeing her shoot my best friends wedding, 4 years earlier. I honestly didn't even look at other photographers. I had watched her via instagram and knew she was the style I wanted from the get go.

I'm not sure if it's most men or just my husband, but he hates getting his photograph taken... but coming out of our engagement session he said "wow! megan made me feel like I was doing everything right and like a straight rockstar".
Her constant whooping, "YAAASSS"'s and "work it" had us laughing, feeling amazing and because of that our pictures turned out better than I could've imagined. I knew our wedding photos would be even better (if that was possible)!... it was.

Megan and Mitch are an amazing couple and photography duo. You can't go wrong! I can't wait till we decide to grow our family so I can hire again for a maternity shoot.

Megan, holy crap, this girl. She is a freaking wonder woman. Not only is she the sweetest person ever, but she is so incredibly talented. I had been following her for awhile before I got engaged and knew from the start I wanted her to photograph my wedding. The wedding package includes an engagement shoot which is such a smart move. This allowed her to get to know us and figure out how we photograph. I let her decide the location for ours and she ended up choosing the spot I was hoping she would! Sharp Top Mountain. OH MY GOODNESS! These photos are so fire. My husband and I have gotten so many compliments on them saying they should be in magazines and that they're the most beautiful photos they've ever seen.
Our (outdoor) wedding took place during Hurricane Florence and was located in Southern Virginia, right at the border for NC. The whole week leading up to it was probably the most stressed out I've ever been. Megan was not only honest and professional, but treated me like a friend instead of a client during this highly stressful time. I appreciate her so much for that. Luckily, Florence didn't have too much of an impact on our location until a day or two after the wedding so we were able to keep all of our original plans for First Look and Ceremony locations. I haven't seen all of the photos from the wedding yet, but the photos she's shown me so far are AMAZING! HO-LY Crap. She's a real life goddess/magician/super human because her photographs are pure magic. Did I mention this is the second hurricane she's shot in PREGNANT! Like, wow! I could go on and on, but I do have a character limit. For real though, if you're even just thinking about hiring Megan as your photographer, DO IT! You will not regret it at all. I promise you!

I can't say enough good things about Megan! Her photos speak for themselves. When I scrolled through her website's photo gallery I wondered if my engagement and wedding photos would ever look as beautiful...and they did!!! Megan far exceeded my expectations. The photos were AMAZING!! And to top it off, she was the coolest, friendliest, and easiest person to work with! She was quick to respond to my emails. She noted all the details. She delivered the photos super fast. She was AWESOME! I'd highly recommend MVP to any bride.

Photography was THE single most important part of our wedding to me personally. I knew after that one single day, all we will have left, in our eternity together, is our memories and the pictures taken. For this very reason, I wanted the best photographer for our wedding day. I stumbled upon Megan Vaughn Photography while looking up local photographers and immediately fell in love with your work and new I had to meet with you! I already knew that I wanted Megan to photograph our wedding, but after meeting with her I knew I HAD to have her photograph our wedding. She is the sweetest, most kind spirited individual; we just immediately clicked! She is so knowledgeable about her profession and has an evident passion for what she does.

On our wedding day, Megan was so calming and relaxed throughout the entire day and for this, I am forever grateful! Megan and Mitch were such a wonderful part of our wedding day and we cannot thank them enough! We are over the moon with our wedding day images and all of our other session images! I could not have picked a better photographer for our wedding day!

Megan was hands down the best investment for our wedding. The photos were of course beautiful, her style is a perfect balance of natural and rich in color. They were tastefully edited and we not only love them, but received several compliments from others. Not only did she thoroughly and professionally capture my day, but she also gently reminded me when I needed to get back on schedule, and was encouragement in moments of anxiety. I was at peace knowing that she was not only capturing my day, but knew my timeline (better than I did!) and was prepared for everything planned that day. She was on time, good at her job, encouraging, and fully prepared. Leading up to the day, she met with me and clarified anything that she needed to know well in advance before the big day, which further proved her organization. She is so good at what she does and is fully knowledgeable in all things about being a wedding photographer. I was 100% at ease :) I am SO glad you could be a part of our day Megan, thank you so much for everything!!

We took the most time looking for my photographer out of all my vendors. You can never redo your wedding photos and they will be something you cherish and use to remember that special day forever. We wanted perfection! And Megan is that! From the moment we saw her photos, we knew she really has a gift. She does an amazing job capturing the light, the people, and the scenery, all at once. And we couldn’t have asked for anyone easier to work with, especially for a very camera shy, non-lovey dovey couple! The wedding photos are absolutely gorgeous. We continue to get compliments on our wedding photos to this day! We loved every bit of our experience with Megan! We cannot express how thankful we are to have come across Megan. She, and her husband, are THE Chip and Joanna of the wedding world! I only wish we had also requested her husband to do our video (Mitch Vaughan Productions), it's obvious he has just as much talent as Megan!

Words can not describe how thankful we are that you captured our special unforgettable day. After getting engaged, one of the most important vendors to me was the photographer. Once the big day comes and goes, you’ll have your loved one by your side, the memories to think back upon, and the photographs to cherish. I fell in love with the blog and your amazing photography skills. Not only were the pictures out of this world, but you truly seemed to know and care about your couples. I loved how you wanted to get to know us first when I first e-mailed you and how super responsive you were about everything. I literally don’t know how you responded to all of my emails so quickly! You truly made everyone feel at ease, especially on the wedding day. Now, on to our engagement session….time went by so fast! I can’t believe the number of amazing images you were able to capture in that time period, and I can’t get over how soon I was able to see all of them (literally, less than 24 hours!). We love, love, love our engagement pictures. Our friends and family loved them as well. I can not count the number of times friends,family or co-workers said- those are the most amazing engagement pictures I’ve ever seen. I got prints of almost all of the pictures and then had the hardest time picking the ones for our save the date. I love how you listened to all my ideas for areas at Ash Lawn for pictures and especially, those road and field pictures. I literally can not stop looking at the pictures and have no idea how to chose which ones to frame. You caught all sorts of emotion from everyone in your pictures.I can’t wait to share the photographs with our friends and family. I loved the sneak peak pictures (yes, pictures!). I can’t believe we were able to see 15 pictures the day after our wedding.Our pictures are amazing and what’s even better is how amazing you made us feel throughout the whole process. I’d recommend you to any future bride!

Choosing Megan as my wedding photographer was absolutely the best choice I made in our entire wedding planning process. I’m a huge fan of wedding photography and had followed her work for a while. Every girl has their “dream” aspect of their wedding- whether it’s the perfect dress, flowers, venue- but mine was always my “dream photographer” who was of course, Megan Vaughan!
Megan and I started emailing, and I told her that photography was absolutely the most important thing to me on my wedding day. I knew right off the bat that Megan understood my vision and we “clicked” without even meeting in person. She agreed to bring her family up to Maine for our wedding! The planning process of the travel was so simple, and Megan always made things easy, efficient, and stress-free. We had fun emailing back and forth for about a year. I couldn’t wait to finally meet her!
On the wedding day Megan arrived ahead of schedule, and as we went through the timeline she had built, the transitions were easy, smooth, and we were even ahead of schedule! Megan has the ability to make you feel so comfortable and like she’s keeping you under her wing throughout the day (that’s clearly why she’s an awesome Mom too!). There was not one moment where I felt nervous or anxious because I knew she was running the show. She made everything fun, exciting, and stress-free. She captured every moment and detail of our entire wedding from beginning to end.
The ability that Megan has to capture the FEELINGS of a moment in a still-photo is absolutely incredible. When I saw the photos of our wedding, it was like I got to relive the day all over again and got to see any moments that I may have missed. When looking at the photos I could also remember how I felt in each one which was truly a gift in itself.
Megan’s talent as a wedding photographer goes above and beyond what can be put into words. I am ecstatic and grateful that I was lucky enough to be one of her brides this year! Thank you Megan!

On the day of, my husband and I had the pleasure of seeing Megan and her husband, Mitch, work together as a team, and there was something that stood out most to me about the two of them. Their relationship. The two of them were meant to be in this together, and it shows in how well they worked together and complimented each other. They both have beautifully artistic eyes, and while one was shooting from one angle, the other was finding creative ways to get another perspective. They're open to each others' suggestions, they play around, they laugh, and they get it. They get what this is all about. The work they do, individually and together, is a direct reflection of their marriage. They understand the beauty of it. They know the connections, they know the obstacles we overcome, they know the friendship, they know the history, and that's so visible in the emotion captured in their work.

My husband and I and our family still talk about them today. We talk about sitting at our beautiful, long farm table, talking about life and family, about them joining in our prayer before dinner, and about how instantly they became a part of the family. When you have a photographer who gets it and loves it, it shows. It really does.

The final result was absolutely beautiful. My husband's smile - the one that I only see when he looks at me - is now captured and here for me to see. Our oldest's gorgeous freckles and long lashes, our youngest's sassy little personality, and our home. The tears, the laughter, the most of all our family...our blessings in this life are now here, in beautifully vibrant images that we'll have forever, and we couldn't be more grateful for them, Megan.
