Mary Marlet has been catering since 1991 after many years as a Chef in the restaurant industry. Mary has worked in privately owned restaurants, as well as been a Sous Chef and Manager in the corporate world at the Hilton Hotel.
Mary has happily found her calling with catering and has formed her own successful business.

We were so happy to have Conscious Catering at our wedding reception. Mary was easy to work with and flexible when I needed to make changes to the menu. The food and service were top notch, I have been in the restaurant business for years and have very high standards. Conscious Catering met all of my expectations; with healthy, delicious, organic and sustainable foods. We needed vegetarian and meat options and all of our guests were able to enjoy the dinner. From the first moment that I spoke to Mary Marlet on the phone when inquiring about catering my daughter’s wedding at Empire Mine State Park, I felt at peace. Her kindness and experience helped to reassure me that our event was going to be beautiful. And it was. I managed to hold it together during my daughter’s wedding ceremony, but I actually teared-up for the first time that day when I saw Mary's buffet spread! The beautiful buffet arrangement, the hand-decorated sign identifying the food offerings, and the smiles on her servers’ faces, NOT to mention the gorgeous food, took my breath away. The love and care that she showed in every detail, right down to the healthy options that were included with the sugar for the coffee, were noticed and appreciated greatly by me. The food was perfectly prepared and seasoned, the salad was rich in colors and flavors, and the artistry in presentation was impeccable. Many of my guests commented on the wonderful service that her staff gave them, beginning at the moment they were approached with trays of hors d’oeuvres when first arriving at the reception. I only had to breathe a desire to taste all 3 layers of the wedding cake, when I turned around to see a smile on Justin’s face as he handed me a plate with 3 small slices on it. I feel that while she stayed within reach of my limited budget, Mary presented me with a first class dinner that was worth much more than what I paid for.
