Martoca Weddings

I truly don't even know where to start! I got engaged in November 2022 and we knew we wanted to do a Mexico destination wedding. At the start of 2023, I started doing my research and stumbled upon Martoca on instagram. Jimmy can tell you, but I followed them right away and reached out shortly after to get a quote. Their instagram presence really made this an easy choice for me (living in San Diego and not able to view the venue before booking), because I was able to see every wedding they've done and what they are capable of.

When I reached out to Jimmy to get a quote, I was greeted with such kindness and absolutely NO pressure behind the quote that I already knew this would be our venue...but it was the first one I had reached out to and wanted to make sure I didn't just pick the first one. I told my husband when I first found their instagram & got the quote that I thought this was our absolute DREAM venue. My husband and I are fairly private people, so we knew we didn't want to share our special day with other people staying at a hotel or passing by the beach during the ceremony; we knew we wanted a private, all-inclusive wedding venue.

When we were ready to book, being deeply Type A, I asked Jimmy at least 20+ questions throughout our emails before actually paying the deposit. Again, I received so much understanding, kindness, and flexibility that it put me at ease to pay the deposit.

From there, Mariana was my planner and reached out to me fairly early from when I officially booked Martoca to when we got married. I booked the venue in March or April of 2023 and my wedding took place on 11/14/2024; so I was in communication with either Jimmy or Mar for almost 2 years from when I first reached out.

Mar was truly a dream to work with. It was so easy; she sends outlines of what she needs from you, so you're not sitting around guessing what it is you need to get done. We shared our budget & inspo pictures and basically told Mar what we wanted and to stay within budget. Periodically we had to make decisions on things that would put us over our budget, but all in all, it was an incredibly smooth and easy process.

I have nothing but good things to say about the entire Martoca team! Our venue tour & food tasting (Nov 2023) was one of our favorite memories during this whole process. Most people who have been to weddings know that the dinner is usually subpar - most large dinners are, but not at Martoca. Everyone was raving about how amazing the food was (including the al pastor tacos & churros - this was such a hit!!) & everything came out HOT. Everyone, including my husband and I were, so impressed with everything.

If you still have doubts about booking; we had ~75 guests at our wedding and every single person told us it was the best wedding they've ever been to! The venue itself is such a dream, the photos attached don't even give you the full picture.

I had the wedding of my dreams in every way and for an affordable price! I truly cannot get over what we paid and what that got us here.

I truly, whole heartedly, cannot recommend this venue enough!! My wedding was so much more than I could've ever dreamed of. My inspo pictures came alive in the most incredible way & I can't thank Mar & the Martoca team enough!

Our wedding in Mexico was truly a dream come true, and we’re so grateful to this incredible team, Marisol, Fatima, Giovanni, Paola, and Luis, for making it all happen so seamlessly.

I do want to briefly speak to safety, since I know it can be a concern. We were aware of the broader issues and didn’t want to ignore them, but our actual experience was completely positive. The wedding took place in a safe, well-established tourist area, and both we and our guests felt comfortable the entire time. Destination weddings like this are thoughtfully planned in secure locations, and it really showed.

From start to finish, the planning process was so easy and stress-free. The team was responsive, organized, and genuinely cared about bringing our vision to life. On the day itself, everything was beyond beautiful, our guests couldn’t stop talking about the stunning setting and how amazing the food was.

It was everything I could have ever wanted and more, the perfect, fun, and unforgettable way to start our marriage. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

I couldn't recommend Martoca more for a wedding! As a bride who didn't have a lot of extra time to plan, Mar (Martoca wedding planner), was on top of everything and took my vision boards and brought them to real life. The food, staff, DJ, decor, walk through visit, food tasting, etc. was all perfection. Our guests didn't stop talking about how beautiful and fun the night was and as the bride & groom, we have nothing but great things to say about Martoca and the Martoca family.
If you are considering a wedding here -DO IT! The venue is very intimate overlooking the beach and we are forever grateful to Martoca creating the best night of our lives!

Our wedding at Martoca Beach Garden was everything we dreamed of and more. The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking - it's intimate, fun and stunning. So many great spots for photos. Our guests were completely blown away from the moment they walked through the gate.

The food was incredible, the DJ was perfect, and every detail flowed seamlessly. What makes Martoca truly special is that it’s a one-stop shop - having an in-house planner who brought our vision to life made the entire process feel effortless. The team handled everything with professionalism and care, allowing us to fully enjoy our day. They also work with the great partners and truly have the best recommendations for every service or additional event you may want.

We couldn’t have chosen a more beautiful or memorable place to get married. We want to go back and do it all again!

The team at Martoca was amazing. They were extremely responsive and easy to work with from day 1. They made everything so easy for us planning the wedding from the US. The contract was easy to understand and included everything we needed for the day which made it so easy not having to work with any individual vendor directly. I can’t say enough good things about the team including the owner, our wedding planner, the bartenders, the video and photo team, the saxophonist, the wait staff, and the dj. We had such an amazing day and it was so low stress!

Wedding planning with Martoca was an absolute dream. Despite signing our contract without a venue visit, Mariana and team made the entire process seamless & gave me full confidence we would have the wedding of our dreams. Mar was always available over text for whatever questions or new ideas I had and the team was really able to bring my Pinterest board to life. Wedding planning should truly by as easy as it was with Martoca.

The venue is more stunning than their gorgeous Instagram posts can capture, the food is even better than the reviews mention and our guests praised how well the staff took care of them — their drinks were never empty.

The timing and guidance provided by Mar on the day of was perfect. From the mariachi to the fireworks everything flowed so smoothly ensuring all we had to worry about was enjoying our day.

Our wedding at this venue was an absolute dream. The space itself is stunning—every corner was picture-perfect, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about the ceremony setup, reception space, décor, the florals, and sunset back drop!

The food was truly 10/10, and the service matched it. The bar team was phenomenal, and multiple guests told us the late-night tacos and churros were the best they’ve ever had.

Entertainment was another major highlight. Our DJ was phenomenal and kept the energy perfect throughout the night. We also opted to have a live saxophonist during dinner, and his performances were absolutely top-notch—one of the most memorable touches of the entire evening.

Our photography and videography teams (both Martoca films) were amazing as well. They captured every moment so beautifully and made us feel comfortable, natural, and genuinely taken care of throughout the day.

Planning was seamless, especially for someone who is not Type A. I trusted Marisol with all things and solely provided her with my inspo board and she beyond nailed it. Communication was impeccable from start to finish, and the day-of coordination was completely flawless. I felt supported, never stressed, and truly able to enjoy every moment.

Every guest said this wedding was the best they had ever been to! I would choose this venue again without a second thought and recommend it a thousand times over. An unforgettable experience in every way.

We had our wedding at Martoca Beach Garden on November 8, 2025, with 37 adults and 4 children, and the experience was absolutely amazing.

Mariana truly went above and beyond my expectations. I’m a pretty “type B” bride, so I only sent her a few inspiration photos — yet she somehow created the wedding of my dreams. I didn’t even visit the venue beforehand, so walking in and seeing everything come to life was such an incredible surprise.

The Venue Itself

The venue was elegant, private, and beautifully maintained — you can tell how much care goes into keeping the property pristine. We loved the intimate atmosphere, which made the entire day feel personal and special.

Martoca also provided transportation, which made everything easy and stress-free. Our guests stayed at Secrets and Dreams Bahia Mita, so it was only a quick Uber ride away.

The Team & Service

The entire Martoca team was phenomenal.

Mariana was extremely communicative and always reached out whenever decisions were needed.

Fátima was also wonderful — she was easy to reach and always filled in seamlessly when Mariana wasn’t available.

Martoca Films — truly the best. I was initially nervous about booking an in-house photography/videography team, but they exceeded every expectation. They made me feel so comfortable, captured every moment I requested, and worked tirelessly (and cheerfully!) despite the heat. I couldn’t have asked for a better team.

Wait and Bartending Staff — amazing! They were attentive, friendly, and always made sure our glasses were full (and that my husband and I stayed hydrated with water, too!).

DJ — absolutely outstanding. I don’t say this lightly because I had a lot of special requests, including Korean music. He blended and transitioned everything so smoothly that the energy never dropped. As the MC, he kept the night flowing perfectly, adapting quickly to any changes — and he has a great announcer voice!

Food & Drinks

To be honest, the food wasn’t the highlight — but that’s mostly on me, since we weren’t able to visit beforehand for a tasting.

Guests really enjoyed the mole negra, which was soft and flavorful. The surf and turf, however, missed the mark — the steak was a bit tough and rubbery. The cheesecake guanábana dessert had mixed reviews.

That said, the late-night churros and tacos were a total hit! Everyone loved them, and it made up for anyone who didn’t finish their main course.

Wedding Day Experience

The day itself was everything we hoped for. It was a very hot day, but the team worked efficiently and helped us move slightly ahead of schedule to keep guests comfortable. Everyone adapted quickly, and the whole event ran seamlessly.

Guest Feedback

Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how beautiful the venue was — several even said it was one of the best weddings they’d ever attended (and I may be biased, but I agree 😄).

Many guests also complimented Martoca Films, saying how attentive and professional the photographers were, and they can’t wait to see the photos and videos!

Final Thoughts & Recommendation

My husband and I would 100% recommend Martoca Beach Garden to any future couples. The venue, team, and overall experience were simply unforgettable.

Our only tip: if possible, visit beforehand to choose your menu. Otherwise, trust that Mariana will take incredible care of you — she’s amazing and will make sure your day is everything you dreamed of.

My wife and I are so glad that we chose Martoca for our wedding celebration. It was truly a dream and exceeded all expectations.

Marisol, Fatima, Jimmy, the photographer/videographers and the rest of the Martoca crew were extremely easy to work with and accommodated all of our asks. Whenever we had a question or idea, we’d get an immediate response. No ask was too big (within reason) and the Martoca team made the planning process super easy and a joyful experience.

From the moment we inquired about the venue, we received the best customer service. We even video called Marisol to see the venue and ended up putting down the deposit before seeing the venue in person. When we finally saw the venue for the first time, it was even more beautiful. It is literally the most stunning venue.

The day of our wedding exceeded all expectations. To see everything come together was truly special. From the moment we arrived to the end of the night, everything was perfect. We had so many guests tell us that this was the best wedding that they had ever been to. My cousin said that he’s been to over 40 weddings and this was by far the most beautiful and fun yet. The service was exceptional, the servers and bartenders went above and beyond to ensure all of our guests were happy. My wife and I are still in shock and feel like it was a dream!

We can’t thank the Mar + the Martoca team enough. If you’re thinking about having your special day at Martoca, you will not regret it!
