110% recommend!!

I wanted to give a huge shout out to Dom Martin, with Martin Gunderson Events, who was our wedding planner for our 20 year vow renewal last month. We had a great experience working with Dominic - he made the whole event stress free for us, and really handled all the fine details I would have never even thought of. Dominic was excellent at communicating with us all throughout the process from start to finish, was very patient, and provided great ideas along the way. Steve provided the flowers for the event, which were just stunning! On our big day, we had the nicest ceremony you could imagine. ♥️

Amazing coordinator

Dominic Martin did my daughters wedding, and it couldn’t have turned out better. Dominic was a lifesaver and I would use him over and over again. Zero complaints whatsoever. I definitely recommend his services.

Absolutely Amazing!

My Husband & I got married on 11.11.23, so just two days ago. He proposed in May and we started planning the wedding in June. I didn’t want a long engagement and thought since it was going to be a small wedding, it wouldn’t be too difficult to plan. My mom did most of the planning, I told her how I wanted it and she took care of it. I know a lot of brides want to do everything themselves, but I’m not good at that stuff and my mom could be a professional decorator/party planner, so I trust her. A couple of months before the wedding, my aunt asked my mom if we hired a day of coordinator. We didn’t even know that was a thing, but it was totally necessary. Someone at the hotel where we held the reception recommended Dominic at Martin Gunderson Events. We met with him in September (I think) and hired him on the spot. He was an absolute life saver and thought of stuff we didn’t even think of. He hooked us up with hair and makeup artists, who also did an amazing job! Dominic kept me in the loop with everything that was going on, we had a few phone calls the week prior to the wedding to go over the schedule and all the details, he took care of our rehearsal dinner reservation when we couldn’t get ahold of the restaurant, he literally did so much I couldn’t even imagine how chaotic it would be without him. Not only did Dominic take care of all the logistics of the wedding, the timing, getting the limo, transferring all the decor from the church to the hotel where the reception was, set up all the decorations at both the church and the reception room, etc, but he also was great for emotional support when we were having the pre wedding nerves. Also my bridesmaids and mom couldn’t figure out how to bussle up my dress, even after being taught how do to it multiple times lol, so Dominic was able to help with that. All the running around, last minute, unplanned things that came up, he took care of and made it look easy. I even forgot to add a couple to the seating chart, so he set up a whole table for them with decorations and everything and took care of it. I highly recommend hiring a day of coordinator l, even if you think it’s a small wedding, because it took so much stress off of us to take care of all the things that we didn’t have time to be dealing with on the wedding day. It didn’t feel like Dominic was a hired vendor, it felt like he was there as a friend. He was so sweet, professional, and on his p’s and Qi’s. He really knows what he is doing and he is REALLY good at it. I would recommend Martin Gunderson Events to absolutely everyone 100 time over. Thank you so much for making our day go so smoothly and be as perfect as we could imagine!

Dream wedding come true.

I had a very specific idea of a my “nightmare” wedding. Mr. Martin asked me in three words to describe my dream wedding, I said spooky, elegant and campy. He listened to what I wanted, he knew we were on a budget, he understood my vision from the get go. I was overwhelmed with stress and anxiety on planning, but Mr. Martin took that frustration away and gave me the peace of mind. He brought my spooky Friday the 13th wedding to life! He made the dream a reality above and beyond my expectations. If I have another event in my life I will absolutely go to him! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for putting your heart and soul into this special day for me.

Better than I ever imagined!

Simply stated, better than I ever imagined! Dominic and his team were able to create the dream wedding for us with little more to go on than inspiration pictures and a few conversations. With Dominic as my wedding coordinator I was able to focus on being a bride while he created the most beautiful and seamless wedding experience. Any dealings along the way from strong willed guests to basic logistics were handled with such grace and promptness that I had no concerns. One example, our officiant tested positive for COVID the day before our wedding. Typically this would be devastating news but Dominic notified us immediately and already had a new officiant in place and caught up to speed with everything expected during the ceremony and who we were as a couple. Dominic truly went the extra mile from start to finish and I would whole heartedly recommend him to any person needing a wedding coordinator.
A few key things that made Dominic shine; he respectfully incorporated our deceased parents in the ceremony in a touching way, he created the most beautiful wedding arch that I have ever seen and I have been to many weddings, he guiding us through the ceremony rehearsal while providing extremely useful feedback to create the perfect moments, he was available during our last minute needs for suit steaming and delivery, he stayed in close communication throughout the process and especially in the last moments when everything was coming together, and he was on top of everything... anything I didn't think of he already thought of and discussed it. Absolutely perfect service!

Martin Gunderson Events was the reason our wedding was as beautiful as it was. Both Dominic and Steve are true artists when in comes to weddings.

Dominic helped us through every step of our wedding process. His time, care and compassion made the wedding planning experience not only stress free but enjoyable! Dominic and Steve made all of our wedding dreams come true, there was nothing we would have changed about our day. We felt cared for, pampered and so loved by them. Martin Gunderson Events is truly set apart, I look forward to see what they do in the future and would not be surprised to see them in Better Homes and Gardens or hosting parties for Martha Stewart. I will recommend them to anyone I know getting married. They made our wedding so magical. I can’t recommend them enough!

Formal backyard wedding would not be the same without the Martin Gunderson event team

Where do I even begin? Dominic has been by far the most helpful and calming presence in my wedding planning journey. He brings great energy that is also very calming and supportive of any visions I had for the big day. He was always available, responded within minutes to any texts/calls and had a great point of view for the overall vibe I was trying to achieve. He is local to the Reno/Tahoe area and had great contacts with all of my other vendors, and easily took the reins on any tedious projects we had. During the wedding day he maintained great contact with everyone involved and really kept me out of the loop on any small problems (which he fixed immediately and without my knowledge). If you want to actually enjoy your wedding day, hire Dominic!!!! 10/10 could not say more about how much I just love him.

Awesome Experience!

We chose Martin Gunderson Events 1 week before the big event and we're so glad we did!
Dominic was professional, friendly and knew his stuff. We made some last minute changes and he easily incorporated it in the schedule. If you want a stress free wedding get you a great coordinator.

Amazing and helpful

Dominic and his team took a lot of the stress off of us so we could focus on enjoying our special day. He was so on top of it and helped us find some amazing vendors and he was able to bring our vision for the wedding to life.

Best Decision Ever!

Planning our wedding couldn’t have been made easier without Dominic. Throughout the process of planning the wedding he made sure to always be available and quick to respond. He gave us multiple options to consider and kept us on track with the timeline.

We would give ideas on what we envisioned for the wedding and he would elevate it. We were amazed at the floral centerpieces and the design of the invitation.

Dominic would always look out for us and keep us updated will any changes. Lastly he made us feel heard and welcomed when speaking.

Dominic is one of the most important people involved with the wedding and it could not have been done without him.
