Situated out of Denver, Colorado, Marla Keown Photography is a wedding photographer. This international award-winning creative takes great pride in being able to be a part of your special day. Marla was first properly introduced to photography after picking up a digital SLR camera upon returning home from a tour in Iraq. For many years, she was a photojournalist for the Army Reserves while capturing real moments on camera around the world. Since starting her own photography business in 2014, Marla has helped countless couples and individuals document some of the most important days of their lives.

Marla truly has a gift. We could not be happier with the photos from our wedding day. She has an eye for authenticity and made us feel so free to be ourselves during our wedding photos. I picked up my first real camera after returning home from a tour in Iraq in 2005 as a truck driver for the Army. Learning the art of photography truly saved my life and I love being able to gift my clients my intuitive and creative eye.
When I'm not out and about with my camera you can find me behind the scenes at Coors Field, working for MLB by building broadcast trucks for replay reviews.
Come cold weather season, my husband (aka my go-to lighting assistant) and I winter bird it up by traveling around the world to soak up new cultures, cuisines, adventures and memories.
Joshua is my go-to lighting assistant for EVERY wedding.
He also happens to be my husband!
