Bruentrup is a hidden GEM!

As many of the reviews have shared, Bruentrup is a an actual *dream* venue. As a former event planner (with very high expectations!), I can't say enough good things, ESPECIALLY about Tricia, the event coordinator who comes with the venue. Bruentrup is just 15 minutes north of downtown St. Paul, and 20-25 minutes from downtown Minneapolis, so it was easy for both locals and our many out of town guests. While it's close to the cities, it feels like an escape to the country. I loved the flexibility of the space - we moved seamlessly from the meadow for our ceremony, to the yard/barn for cocktail hour & yard games, to a tent for dinner, and back to the barn for live band and dancing. You could have worked those spaces 10 different ways based on your preference, though! I also loved the vendor flexibility - I wanted to choose all of our own vendors and bring our own alcohol, which we were able to do. It makes it feel so much more personal, and helps limit costs. A fun “extra” that we added was the hayride. Just do it! It was an absolute blast. And finally, the event coordinator Tricia is an actual genius - she was so helpful from the planning phase all the way through the wedding, truly going above and beyond to make sure that everything looked beautiful and flowed seamlessly. We shared our planning doc, dropped off our decor, and she took it from there. The guys ran out of drinks - she found drinks. The caterer ran out of chips - she found chips. SO many guests walked up to me and said “your venue and coordinator are amazing ... I can’t believe I’ve never heard of this place!”. As a local heritage site, Bruentrup is not profit-driven, so is off the beaten track of Twin Cities venues. You will have a truly unique experience. As I said - hidden GEM, and the best decision you will make!

1000000/10; The most amazing venue!

I cannot even begin to describe how wonderful this venue is and how AMAZING the wedding planner is that comes with it. This venue is right in between Minneapolis and St. Paul but it feels like you are hours away from the city. We had exclusive access to the venue for the entire weekend so we were able to start decorating on Friday which is a huge help and they even take down the decorations and pack things up at the end of the night on Saturday so our family did not have to stay later to do that which was much appreciated!

Trish is a genuine angel. I was out of state and finishing school during the wedding planning process but she made sure that everything was how I wanted and was such a great communicator. Everything she recommended really added to our wedding. There was a point where it was around 15 days before the wedding and I had thought our booked caterer had fallen through and she assured me that if they had (thankfully they hadn't) she would find a way to get us amazing food that would be ready by the wedding. She also handles all of the little fires during the day of the wedding so my family could just enjoy the day. We ran out of moscato during the reception and Trish immediately went to get more for us. She would get anything we need (and even things we didn't know we needed!!) and was just so helpful. I had an absolutely amazing and stress free wedding planning process because of her expertise.

The venue itself is stunning. There are so many places to take beautiful photos and the barn was the perfect size for our 150 guest wedding. It easily could have fit more. We loved the outside aspect6 and thankfully we had a perfect weather day. The guests loved looking through the museums located on the property during the cocktail hour and we were able to get a tractor/hay ride which was an absolute hit.

I truly cannot say enough about this venue and Trish. She made my wedding day absolutely amazing and I will forever be thankful!

Amazing venue and team

The venue was amazing with so many awesome spots to take pictures. Our family and friends cannot stop talking about how beautiful the venue was as well as how amazing the coordinator is- Tricia Duffney! She was amazing and completely calmed all my nerves week of. It was such a great price point for all of the services we were given. We had our wedding on a Saturday, so we were able to drop everything off on that Friday. Tricia met with us on Friday and we were able to go over the whole set up with her and ask any questions. Tricia and her team took all of our decorations and set everything up for us on that Friday. It was better than I could have imagined. It was such a relief for us as we didn’t have to worry about it. She literally handled every detail and question during the whole planning process and on our big day! My husband and I were able to enjoy our day without having to worry about any details. She even packed up our cars at the end of our night so we could just enjoy with family and friends. Trisha was the biggest life savor and asset to us. We couldn’t be happier with how smoothly our big day went.

I cannot put into words how incredible Tricia the venue coordinator and her team were to work with and how they made our wedding day even more perfect then we could even ever imagined it in our wildest dreams! They went completely above and beyond in every aspect, I literally do not know how we could have done it without them! I will be telling everyone I know who is getting married to look Bruentrup and Little Farm Girl up!

I have nothing bad to say about this venue! Everything was perfect! What sold me was talking to the event coordinator, Tricia. She was FANTASTIC. She was great from day one. Any time I had a question or concern, she immediately solved the problem. She and her staff were so great about getting things done (I mean EVERYTHING). From moving tables, to cleaning plates, fixing outlet problems, and attending to us and our parents, and to all the guests. The venue itself is beautiful! When you rent the venue, you get the whole property (the farm house, a few of the museums, the barn, and all the yard (which is huge). The bridal party can get ready in the farm house which is so fun! You also get the barn Friday and Saturday all day if there is no event on Friday. This was so helpful for setting up. I highly recommend this place for your wedding!! I had guests telling me how amazing it all was for weeks after the day!

Breuntrup Farm is a great location. Tricia Duffney is a knowledgeable and easy-to-work-with professional. We appreciated Tricia's advice, attentiveness to details, prompt response to questions, and little extra touches during the wedding and reception. For example, it was very windy during part of the reception and a vase of flowers on one of the tables blew over. spilling water on the table. Tricia noticed this, wiped up the water and changed out the table cloth in minutes without being asked. Our guests at the table really appreciated sitting at a dry table with a clean table cloth for dinner.

We also like Tricia's style. She explains the options and what she thinks is the best course of action without sounding arrogant or impatient. When there was a question on a policy or procedure, Tricia looked into the question and provided a reasonable and timely answer.

We highly recommend Tricia Duffney and the Bruentrup Farm for a wedding, reunion, party, or family event.

Beautiful barn, great value, loved it!

Our wedding was at Bruentrup Heritage Farm in September, and it was a wonderful day and beautiful place to be married. The barn had amazing ambiance, especially in the evening with the lights (fantastic first dance photo opportunities). Tricia, the venue coordinator, is on her game - we didn't have to worry about much of anything on the day of, because she was there to handle vendors and things that came up throughout the day.

Our daughter's wedding in July 2016 was a wonderful event enjoyed by all our guests. The farm provided a unique and memorable setting; it was exactly what our daughter was hoping for. Beyond the setting, the success of the event is totally attributable to Tricia, Bruentrup's wedding coordinator. She guided us expertly, and then put in every effort to execute a wonderful event. I truly was amazed at how she responded to unforeseen events, made quick decisions, and got the work done. Due to various factors, the day could have been a disaster. Thanks to Tricia, it was wonderful beyond our expectations. Thank you Tricia! We highly recommend Bruentrup Heritage Farm!
