Katie has over 17 years experience as a makeup artist and over 10 years as a bridal/wedding specialist. She started her career in stage and film, transitioning to bridal after falling in love with the industry on a bridal photo shoot. Her career includes Master Level Certifications at MAC cosmetics, collaborating on several training modules and programs at Sephora, and leading an artistry and training team with Bare Minerals. All the while, Katie's passion for on-site makeup and clients has driven her goal of branching out on her own to start her own team. After a chance re-connection with an old friend from high school, mantra.creative.beauty was born. Katie's favorite thing about co-owning a business with her best friend is obvious... working with her best friend!

The strength of mantra.creative.beauty is three-fold. This is their family (literally... one of them is probably watching the other one's kid as we speak), their passion, and their peace. The connection Katie feels with her clients is soul food and deep motivation. "You come face to face with this person before the most monumental day of their life and get to be a part of that in such an important way."

Katie's experience across all skin types, tones, and textures gives her the flexibility to create custom looks with compassion and care. The only caveat is you'll probably have to look at a picture or two of her dog. But he's cute, so its not so bad.
