We loved our experience with Mama’s Boy Catering. Unfortunately, due to COVID, we had to cancel our wedding and our catering plan. However, Mama’s Boy was incredibly kind and accommodating through the entire process. We worked directly with Cooper and Sheila, and they were both amazing. They were the most understanding vendor we worked with during our cancellation, and we will be customers for life. We did get to try their catering food at a tasting, and it is amazing -- you have to try their peach cobbler, strawberry lemonade, and poppyseed butter on biscuits. Our favorites, and perfect for a southern home cooked catering meal!

If you're looking for great food and great people to work with, look no further than Mama's Boy! We have loved going to Mama's Boy for breakfast and lunch for years, and it was so great to have them cater our wedding! They have such a wide variety of menus to choose from and are more than willing to help make any adjustments you would like. Cooper and Kyrie are the best! They helped make our catering process so easy--they were responsive and very honest. They really helped me find ways to cut down on our catering bill without compromising the quality of the food and service. They took care of us so well--our guests still talk about how great the food was!

Mamas boy was amazing! The food was so good and the staff was very professional! They even made sure that the bride and groom for sure got to eat! It was perfect! Everyone at the wedding asked us exactly who and where they are located to use in the future!

We could not have asked for a better caterer/bartenders for our wedding! Mama's Boy goes totally above and beyond for their clients and we couldn't be more thankful. Food and beverages were amazing! Clean, presentable setup, delicious food served HOT and awesome staff!!! Would recommend Mama's Boy to everyone I know for events!!!

Cooper and Shiela were lovely to work with. We worked with them for the rehearsal dinner, but would have loved them for the actual wedding. The food was INCREDIBLE, the service was easy and delicious. I'm a huge fan. We're still enjoying the left over honey poppyseed butter and special jam!

We are just so ecstatic that our wedding night turned out so amazing. Cooper and Sheila really made sure that we were taken care of and we couldn't have truly asked for better service. We were fortunate enough to have them cater both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding reception. Everyone was very pleased with the quality of the food. We were also allowed to give Cooper specific family recipes that we wanted, and she made it happen! End of story- best wedding ever! From the quality of the food, service, dedication to their jobs, all around- amazing!

Cooper was a dream to work with as we planned our daughters wedding. The food was delicious. The mamas boy service at the reception was outstanding. They were extremely organized, and set the tables beautifully. They had a high number of staff. There was never a wait at the 2 bars. One thing that was important to me was to get the 200 guests through the buffet quickly so we could eat and get the dancing started. Cooper set up 2 identical buffets that were accessible from both sides of each table, so essentially 4 lines and it went so quickly.

This is my favorite restaurant for brunch in Athens, but I had no idea their dinner food was so good! Cooper and Shiela were amazing helping me along the journey. Their steak was the most tender, melt in your mouth I have ever eaten. The shrimp and grits were glorious! A little kick with the sauce and I was perfect! And let's not forget those biscuits!!

I absolutely recommend Mama's boy to any bride. I have worked in the wedding industry for over 8 years so when it came time to plan my own wedding I was able to quickly choose all my vendors based on the service I've witnessed over the many years in the industry. Mama's boy was on my radar immediately and they did not disappoint. I worked with Cooper to customize a modern southern menu including an heirloom tomato carving station which they had never done before. I had some specific requests on how to display and serve the food that was not how they normally do it. Cooper welcomed the challenge with excitement and executed it flawlessly. My guest still rave about the food (even a year later!) The service staff is professional and fun and the amount and quality of food you get is far superior to any caterer in the area. The biscuits are to DIE FOR! If you are getting married remotely close to Athens, book with Mama's boy immediately! You will not regret it!
