Was a pleasure working with Katie to do hair and makeup for my wedding. She was timely, easy to talk to, and fairly priced for the amazing job she does!

I am so happy to recommend Makeup by Mary K Engle! I had such a wonderful positive experience with this vendor. I booked this vendor for my wedding day in November 2025! Ms. Engle connected me to one of her makeup artists Ms. Athena, and it was such a wonderful experience. Wow Ms. Athena was so kind and friendly! She did a beautiful job with my hair and makeup!! She listened to everything that I wanted and adjusted accordingly. I am not a person who regularly does my hair and makeup and wow Ms. Athena really glammed me up. On my wedding day, she so carefully put the bobby pins in my hair. She was so careful because she did not want anything bothering me on my big day. My bridal party was also so happy with Ms. Athena! My husband kept telling me wow the makeup artist did such a good job! Thank you Ms. Engle and thank you Ms. Athena! I was very happy with their services!!

Katie did a GREAT job with hair and makeup for our tiny crew. We appreciated how personal she is. She took time to discuss styles with each lady and make sure they were comfortable with her work. Katie and her partner did a BEAUTIFUL job on hair and makeup. I told her that I didn't really like the foundation used during my trial, and she switched it the day of the wedding. She also took the time to go back and review my trial pictures and decided that there were better lashes to use on my wedding day. I gave her full professional control and I am so happy I did! My hair and makeup were both beautiful!!

Working with Katie was a true pleasure. She was helpful and upfront throughout the whole process. She made time to chat on the phone to go over the process and answer any questions before booking. She was flexible in scheduling a trial, which went perfectly. On the day of she and her hairstylist did an incredible job dealing with all different hair types, ages, and skin tones. She was also just a joy to have present on the wedding day. It was like having two additional friends hanging out with you on your wedding day, which when you are stressed out is a real lifesaver.

Katie is absolutely amazing and her love for what she does shines through! I had called a few MUA’s but when I spoke with Katie, we just clicked immediately and ended up talking on the phone for about an hour n a 1/2 chit chatting, getting to know one another. I knew instantly she was the gal for the job! She is very personable and takes the time to get to know her client! I first met her in person when I went for my trial and it was so much fun! She kept in contact throughout the months til the wedding! Day of wedding she was prompt, even arriving a little early and was ready to roll. She did hair and makeup for myself as well as my matron of honor and maid of honor who are also my sister and niece! Everyone who was there during the “get ready” absolutely loved her! She was efficient and got us done within the time frame she gave us. She listened to what we wanted but also gave her expertise opinion based on hair texture, skin tone ect.. she did a PHENOMENAL job on all 3 of us and exceeded our expectations. I 💯 highly recommend her! You will not be disappointed. And through my whole experience I also gained a great and dear friend!!

She was incredible! She supported me through quite an ordeal with another makeup artist. Myself, my mom, and all my bridesmaids looked amazing on my wedding day. Her hair stylist was so sweet and as a team they worked so hard to keep us on schedule. My hair and makeup held up all day long in 90 degree heat and I have gotten so many compliments on how beautiful I look in photos. I felt so gorgeous on my wedding and day.
