I would highly recommend Magnolia Greens as a wedding venue! Our contact was Nicole Stone who was absolutely fantastic with her coordination, flexibility, and overall fun and comforting nature. We asked so many questions that were always greeted with a cheerful and prompt response. Magnolia Greens includes catering and alcohol in the price, which was very reasonable and had many options. They give you suggestions for your meal but truly can make almost anything and during our tasting they proved it was all good! Guests complimented the food, signature beverage choices, and friendly staff that really catered to our needs. We think Magnolia Greens, and Nicole, are true gems in the vast choices for a wedding near Wilmington, NC. I suggest you check them out! Thanks for making our day so special!

We have just completed filling out a Better Business Bureau complaint. The main reason we were not happy with this venue was due to the quality of food at the reception. You are forced to use their caterer. We chose: rotisserie chicken entree which was served with two sides, salad, roll, and choice of tea, lemonade, or water. It was $15.95 + taxes per plate. My husband and I did not get a moment to eat at our wedding, but we heard numerous complaints from guests post our wedding, and we were horrified! Every guest drove hundreds of miles from New York, Georgia, and South Carolina. When you provide a reception, you want to thank your guests for traveling all that way to spend the day with you. And, then to provide them that meal! God...it's seriously humiliating and just awful. Most guests went home hungry, with a sick stomach, or didn't eat at all! Per our contract, we had committed to having only chicken breasts served per each plate. Well, that night, most of our guests were served legs and thighs! Then, we come to find that a great deal of our guests were served uncooked chicken. Per the venue, they claim the chicken was "bone-in" chicken, so it's common to look undercooked. The chicken was indeed undercook, pink, and bloody. When kitchen was asked to cook it more, the chicken never came back, so the rest of our guests did not eat a meat AT ALL. Not to mention, the rest of the food was lacking in flavor and did not taste good at all. Tea and Lemonade were not offered as well even though it's included in price. And, we heard a wedding two weeks later here had the exact same problems, with undercooked chicken served. Do NOT book your reception here. You will be devastated and will always have that horrifying memory of what you did to your guests and they only returned $2 per plate (just the cost of the legs and thighs), even though most guests didn't eat, could have gotten sick and/or were sick, etc. Absolutely upset. :(
