Hire her! Okay now that I said that, I can go into specific details of why you should hire Maggie. We became pen pals while trying to plan a surprise proposal in Joshua Tree 2020 (planned for spring, rescheduled to summer). Maggie is nothing but easy to work with. She helped me create a fake IG sweepstakes post so I could keep the proposal a secret. Fast forward to our proposal - Maggie made the entire day easy. She gave us prompts on how to pose (as we aren’t high fashion models, just two nerds) and made it not weird to kiss each other with a camera clicking away. From this experience I immediately asked for Maggie's availability in 2021 as I was going to plan our wedding around Maggie’s availability.

Now fast forward to wedding planning in 2021, Maggie gave us great vendor recommendations that helped make our wedding easy and drama-free. Maggie found some amazing spots for us to take our photos for the day of and morning after. I would highly recommend taking photos the day after you get married. While we were tired we had nothing but smiles from ear to ear. Again Maggie gave us queues to help us get all the photos we wanted (ceremony, family photos, beach sunset photos, reception, beach sunrise photos). Her queues made us all look amazing and capture the moment. When we look at all our photos we experience all the emotions and memories of the day like it was yesterday. She is an amazing photographer, person, and friend. Now, go hire her!

I don’t think that there is any couple who has had Maggie capture their wedding (or any life event for that matter) that would have anything other than a glowing review for her. Go read all of the rest of the reviews, I’ll wait….. Maggie meets you and instantly, she loves you and feels like a friend, providing incredible comfort and security. Maggie truly makes your wedding day!

After knowing Maggie for a few years as friends, then seeing her capture my brothers wedding in McCall, I always knew that we would have her capture our wedding day as well. As soon as we got engaged, we called Maggie and asked her if she would be available to fly to Florida and capture our wedding the following June. She was so excited and immediately said yes. We had a pretty perfect set up with our Airbnb style wedding venue that would be housing our family and would include Maggie! We had asked Maggie if she wanted to come early and spend the full weekend with us and even come with me on my bachelorette day to Walt Disney World. After the first hour, Maggie was folded right back into the family unit, not only the Renaldo side but also the McGowans. That’s the magic of her, she melts right into your heart and feels like a part of the family who happens to work magic with the camera.

We knew that Maggie was the tiptop of wedding photographers and that she would likely be on the top end of our budget. We ended up deciding to forgo a videographer in order to ensure that we would be able to bring Maggie to Florida and cover her fees. Looking back, this is a decision we would make a thousand times over again. On the evening of the rehearsal, I mentioned to Maggie the parts of myself that I feel self-conscious about or that I don’t love in photos. I adored that she didn’t try to just tell me that no one else saw them, or not to worry about them, rather she just heard that I wasn’t going to love a picture if I wasn’t standing up straight or if I felt self-conscious about a certain way that I hold my arm. She just said “OK noted” and then had an eagle eye for those things in every. Single. Photo! She made sure that every single one of her pictures I felt stunning in and I loved every single thing that she did! The day after the wedding as she was flying home, we were somehow receiving little sneak peaks of the most beautiful pictures that so perfectly showcase our love and adoration for each other. By Monday night, we had our preview album in our hand that had snippets of every single category of moments from our most perfect day! We’re anxiously waiting for our full album to be ready in the next couple of months…but I have already printed a ton of pictures for our home.

Maggie is magical. Not only do you feel like your best friend is just following you around on the best day of your life and making sure that you look like an absolute goddess, but you also know that the best day of your life is being captured in a way that you could be in any magazine in the world. Maggie is someone that I would encourage anyone to play around with your budget and find a way to be able to make her a part of your day. You will not regret it. She is worth every penny and honestly, probably about 10 times of the amount of pennies that you will give her. The wedding pictures are the only things that you get to relive and take away from your wedding day, and you deserve to have photos that are a type of magic that make you feel the exact moment that she captured.

Maggie, we love you more than we could ever express to you. Thank you for being such an important and incredible part of our wedding weekend… You made this weekend the perfect best few days we’ve ever had, I can’t wait till you come visit us so I can take you back to Disney World!

My husband and I booked Maggie for our October wedding and it was the best decision! She was not only efficient and organized but also very personable and fun to work with! From the initial phone call leading to day of, she communicated with us so well and made sure our needs were met. Maggie was everything we could have asked for in our wedding photographer! She was professional, positive, helpful, creative, easy-going - and delivered an amazing result. We didn't want our photos to be overly staged. She did a great job of capturing all the photos she knew we would want, but also was able to capture the candid moments of the evening without us even being aware of her presence. Maggie is world-class and we will work with her again if we have the occasion to!

I loved loved loved Maggie and how our photos came out. My husband and I were a little camera shy but Maggie was able to guide us and our photos turned out amazing! She also is a registered officiant so we were able to get our marriage license signed with her too saving us the fee at the courthouse! I was so lucky to be able to get Maggie as our photographer that weekend since we planned our marriage license signing and lunch with the fam last minute. She happened to have just moved to California. Amazing all around definitely recommend!

We used Maggie for our engagement photos in 2019 and our wedding photos in 2021. We loved that Maggie took the time to get to know us and our relationship before suggesting some of her favorite spots to take photos that would resonate with us as a couple. Engagement photos can feel really awkward, but Maggie made us feel super comfortable and never put us in staged positions - all of our photos came out authentic and natural! She unfortunately got covid right before our actual wedding, but she was super communicative and had an amazing backup at the ready so that we still felt comfortable and taken care of on the big day. Maggie still edited all of our photos and we are still so happy with the results several years later! I highly recommend Maggie for your next wedding!

I met Maggie when she was the photographer at my best friends wedding and after knowing her for 5 minutes I knew she’s truly one of a kind! maggie was my first professional photoshoot since my senior photos! she did me and my fiance’s engagement photos. he’d never gotten anything done and was nervous. but he did so well and we LOVE how they turned out. maggie is attentive to detail - doesn’t miss the little things and best of all is soooo SOCIABLE & PERSONABLE! she made it so easy to be in front of the camera! she found us a perfect location after hearing what i was imagining.
