About this vendor

Maestra Ensemble is a string quartet based in northern Virginia. We are available to perform for weddings and other events in Virginia, DC, and Maryland. Our musicians are professionally trained and each have 10+ years of experience performing for weddings. When you hire us, we'll provide you not only with live entertainment, but also our talent and expertise with planning music. We know that wedding planning can be very stressful. We'll guide you every step of the way so you have one less thing to worry about!

We are available for hire as a quartet, trio, duo, or solo. Our main instruments are violin, viola, and cello, but we can add other instruments to our ensemble if you have any specific requests (i.e. piano, harp, flute, etc.). We offer a wide variety of music genres, including classical, pop, rock, country, folk, and movie tunes. Have you ever dreamt of walking down the aisle to your favorite song? We can make it happen!

This ensemble is a must book!

I cannot say enough amazing things about these musicians. I had a trio play for my ceremony and cocktail hour. When I heard them play the processional when I was hiding away, it was so beautiful it moved me to tears. We got a ton of compliments from guests for our great pick of musicians. They had a huge selection of songs to pick from, so we got to have them play some of our emo favorites. We are so grateful!

The best string quartet!

Maestra Ensemble was one of the best decisions my husband and I made for our wedding. Having a live string quartet was so magical and our guests loved it! Maestra Ensemble was extremely easy to work with a very organized. As a Type A bride, I loved the frequent communication and planning aspect of working with Maestra Ensemble. They have a large and amazing song repertoire to chose from but, being able to walk down the aisle to a song I picked was so memorable and special. It was such a nice touch to have live music during our ceremony and cocktail hour!

The Perfect Ceremony Music

We had a wonderful experience working with Maestra Ensemble. The week leading up to our wedding, and even the morning of, was fairly chaotic on our end. Their team was patient, adaptable, and very easy to work with through all of the changes, which made a stressful situation feel much more manageable.

They also created a custom rendition of “Euphoria” by BTS for my walk down the aisle, which ended up being one of my favorite details from the day. I would absolutely recommend Maestra Ensemble to any couple looking for live music on their wedding day!

HIghly recommend Maestra Ensemble!

My wife and I had the best experience working with Maestra Ensemble for our August 2024 wedding in DC. Eleanor and Maestra Ensemble were incredibly professional and proactive every step of the way. We really appreciated their detailed song list and how much input we were able to have for the songs played. I also found the pacing of their communication leading up to the wedding to be perfect -- I never found myself in limbo wondering when the next time I'd hear from Eleanor would be. The day of our wedding, they arrived on time and without issue, and put together a great performance during our ceremony and cocktail hour. We've had so many guests tell us how much they enjoyed Maestra Ensemble's performance. We can't say enough good things about Maestra Ensemble -- they were a pleasure to work with at every point of our wedding planning process.

Loved Maestra Ensemble!!

We absolutely loved having Eleanor and the team at Maestra Ensemble play at our wedding over the weekend. Everyone enjoyed the songs and we received many compliments throughout the day about how beautiful the music was. Eleanor was incredibly helpful when we were in the early stages of planning and we’re so grateful for all her help to make our special day as incredible as it was. Would absolutely recommend Maestra Ensemble!

Exceptional Vendor for Our Special Day!!!

We couldn't be happier with Maestra Ensemble as our violin vendor for our wedding. Their performance added a touch of pure magic to our special day. They helped us select the perfect music, and their professionalism shone through in every interaction. On the wedding day, their violin melodies were simply enchanting. Our guests were captivated by their beautiful music, and it created the elegant atmosphere we had dreamed of.

One of the best decisions we made for our wedding!

Maestra Ensemble far exceeded our expectations and made our wedding ceremony extra special! Eleanor is extremely organized and provides an excel worksheet with PLENTY of songs to choose from including modern instrumentals. We had such a hard time picking which songs for our ceremony because there were so many great options. Maestra Ensemble also allows you to choose one complimentary song that is not already included in their repertoire. Our wedding guests marveled at how beautiful the music was at our ceremony. Maestra Ensemble truly made walking down the aisle that much more special and they were such a joy to work with. If I ever have the opportunity I would definitely work with them again.

Phenomenal Service and Excellent Execution

Maestra Ensemble were a joy to work with and provided outstanding service. We had our wedding at Woolen Mill and had a pianist, cellist, and violinist perform. It added such a level of elegance that made our Prelude and Ceremony perfect. They also have a massive list of songs to choose from to accommodate a wide variety of tastes. This review would be incomplete if I didn’t mention their free single custom request. We asked for “Peaches” from the Mario movie earlier this year and they executed it flawlessly. You can’t go wrong hiring Maestra Ensemble for your next event!

Beautiful Sound

My husband and I chose a church ceremony, and we knew we needed specific music for this venue. After doing some research with no luck we came across Maestra Ensemble and from the moment we spoke to them it was like magic!
They were so attentive and could literally play anything we requested! It sounded like angels were in the church with us, it was overwhelmingly beautiful! Thank you so much Maestra Ensemble for the amazing strings group!!

Private patio concert

The Maestra Quartet gave an excellent hour long classical concert on the garden patio of my home. Being so close to the music was a unique experience. The quartet gave background in the pieces they played and then had a little Q and A time afterwards. I was very very pleased with the whole experience!
