Since childhood, Darrell Lovitt had a deep passion, love and desire to create art. Growing up, his life revolved around school, art and faith. He had the privilege of winning several awards in art shows, and contests. He even won his first bicycle in a local community coloring contest. He knew his destiny was to become an artist. His faith has served as a catalyst for developing his character, both in life and in art.

As a Christian, Darrell believes a calling or an invitation from God can be placed upon someone’s life to pursue different opportunities. Hence, he believes people are uniquely designed and blessed with certain gifts, talents, and abilities that allow them to fulfill their God-given destinies. His faith has driven him to ask the question, “How can I use my God-given gifts and talents to serve others?”

Motivated by his passion and faith, Darrell chose to pursue his calling, and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Eastern Kentucky University. Since then, he has had the opportunity of becoming an award-winning photographer whose work has been published in a number of publications including the Boston Globe, the Lexington Herald-Leader, and the London Sentinel Echo.

Together, Darrell and his lovely wife, Stephanie have developed, Lovitt Photography. Coupling his artistic eye with Stephanie’s creative ideas, and their love for photography, they have been able to connect with couples, and families on an emotional level. Their goal is to provide each and every client with ‘moments’ that are truly, inspirational.

While letting God hold their dreams in his hands, their art has become a continuously rewarding ministry. They continue to give their talents to support ministries delivering messages of faith, hope, and love across the world.

As the scripture states, “Two people are better off than one, for they help each other to succeed.” For the Lovitt's, it’s not only a passion to document memories but it’s also a privilege to capture special moments that change peoples lives forever. Darrell and Stephanies continual prayer is that God will use their photographs to bless the lives of people.
