Facilities and Capacity
LBIF works with hundreds of couples each year to turn their main gallery into a stunning event space. The gallery room features slatted wooden ceiling, exposed steel, and a unique architectural layout, giving a fresh look among other local venues. The open floor plan allows for flexible seating, and the walls are always adorned with local art to add eclectic decor to your wedding setting. The main gallery can accommodate up to 150 seated guests. Outside, you and your guests will have access to an upstairs patio overlooking Barnegat Bay. This area is the perfect place to host cocktail hour. LBIF also has beautiful outdoor walking paths, and a beach access just across the street if you decide to have a beachside ceremony.
LBIF helps couples plan every detail of their wedding, from the room decor to the final seating arrangements and table placement. While LBIF does not offer in-house catering, they welcome you to bring your favorite caterers and vendors to make the space completely your own. The LBIF staff will also help with setup and teardown of the gallery and outdoor deck space.
LBIF was founded in 1948 by Dr. Boris Blai. Dr. Blai was an art student of the famed sculptor Auguste Rodin, and took his work to greater heights by becoming the founding Dean position of the Tyler School of Art at Temple University. His vision was to create a place where art students could learn and experiment, and express their creativity in a place of individual learning. With the same vision in mind, he created LBIF. The LBIF community continues this vision by offering art classes, workshops, local exhibitions, and educational programs for all of Loveladies.
